I called the number but it only asked me to enter my phone number, so I gave them a fake one. After that, it just kept me waiting on hold forever.

We received a letter supposedly from Barclays about suspected card fraud, telling us to call this number. Trusting it was legit, we answered and were asked some security questions. Afterwards, we got a bit doubtful and phoned Barclays directly on their official line to confirm and block anything else happening. Not sure if the whole thing was a scam to get our bank info or just to charge us loads for the call.
