The genuine Santander security team reassured me there were no transactions requiring verification on my account. Shortly after, I received another message from the scammers urging me to call back. Please, do not share any personal information with these individuals. Also, be wary of any prior comments claiming this number is genuine - they’re likely part of the con. Honestly, if the previous tenant had picked up, it could have sent her into a panic! If Santander is indeed behind this, they should reconsider their approach and opt for more traditional notifications via post instead of relying on these robotic phone calls.

Today I got a call from this number saying they were Santander's Fraud Department. I gave Santander a ring myself and they told me that they never contact customers like that, so it's clearly a scam. I'd steer clear of picking up if you see this number, it might cost you something in the end!
