I’ve been inundated with calls from this number, all of them asking for the same personal details that others have mentioned here. It’s become quite the nuisance, with at least a dozen calls at various hours throughout the day. Has Halifax managed to take any steps to put an end to this harassment? Who should we be reaching out to for assistance? Occasionally, I get the same recorded message, but instead of this number being displayed, it shows up as INTERNAT on the caller ID. Quite mysterious, if you ask me.

I've received numerous calls from this number, which is rather absurd considering we've never even been customers of Halifax! Honestly, after experiencing their customer service like this, I'm even less inclined to consider them. I'm baffled by how they acquired our number, and it's quite unsettling. We've received more than twenty calls from a number that claims to be The Halifax, but we’ve never heard of them. They’ve left a message urging us to call back. To be on the safe side, we’ve steered clear of returning the call, suspecting it might be a scam. Instead, we contacted The Halifax customer support ourselves. They informed us that they have no information on this number and that it appears to be linked to their scam department. Quite concerning, really!

Just a quick suggestion for anyone tired of those pesky nuisance calls! If your phone has a “blacklist” feature, you can easily add unwanted numbers to it. This way, the next time they try to ring you, your device will silence that call before it even reaches you. The caller will just be met with a dial tone. It’s worth jumping online to find out if such a feature is available for your specific phone model. Hope this little tip proves useful!

Today, we received two calls that left voice messages, one particularly urging us to return their call. These individuals are after some security information, citing it’s for an 'urgent matter'. Interestingly, they also sent over a list of five birthdays for us to consider. It’s all rather peculiar, if you ask me.

We've flagged this issue for review as we've mentioned earlier, this number isn't familiar at all as one associated with HBOS. This complicates matters a bit for us in terms of stopping these calls coming through. Nevertheless, I've relayed the number to our manager for further investigation. I'll do my best to find out when, if ever, this was linked to HBOS and will update you all as soon as I uncover any further information.

I just gave them a ring, and I must say, the call was entirely monitored. They went through the whole process of informing me about the outstanding balance and even prompted me on when I would be able to settle it right away or if I might be able to pay in the next fortnight.

Over the last fortnight, it feels like we’ve been bombarded with about 25 to 30 calls.
