I received a rather dubious call that turned out to be from Barclaycard's scam prevention team. Right from the get-go, they were relentless and wouldn't let us hang up, even after we spent a good five seconds pressing buttons. After a bit of back-and-forth, we ended up speaking to someone in India who attempted to help but insisted on staying connected. It felt like an eternity before we were finally able to end the call, which took another three or four seconds to actually disconnect. When we reached out to Barclaycard Customer Services afterwards, they were rather dismissive, claiming they couldn't assist since we weren't the actual cardholder.

My girlfriend recently procured a ring tied to this number, and it's managed to confirm his previous transactions in no time at all. He’s quite chuffed with how swiftly the ring operates; to verify his identity, he simply selects his date of birth from a trio of options. Our mobile rang with this number the other day. Silly us, we ended up calling back without realising it was an 0845 number-which, funnily enough, would have been at no cost with our landline.
