Hi all, Just got a dodgy email from [email protected] saying I’ve got an unpaid invoice attached. It looks like it’s from Ulster Bank but I think it’s a scam since it’s coming from a different bank’s name. The message says to click a link to download the invoice and asks when I’ll pay. Please make sure you don’t open anything or click any links if you get something similar. Stay safe!

Got a dodgy email from [email protected] today. The person said they were Rachael Holland from credit control, but it definitely felt like a scam. Watch out!

Hey, just a quick heads up - if you get this, don’t open any attachments. Instead, just forward the email straight to [email protected]. Stay safe!

From what I’ve seen, the top tip is definitely to stay clear of opening any attachments. I’m also looking for a method to report this - has anyone managed to report it yet?

Hi there, I've come across an invoice that our records say hasn't been paid yet - I've attached it here for you to check. Could you please have a look and let me know when we might expect the payment? Cheers, Nicole Parry Credit Control Team Phone: 0845 300 2952 P.S. The file might contain a virus, so be cautious.

I had a call like this as well, supposedly from "Jack Taylor." The phone number looked like a real RBS one, but there's no one by that name employed there. Definitely avoid clicking on any attachments they send.

Got an email that supposedly came from Jake Adams at RBS. It said something like, "Attached is an invoice we have marked unpaid on our records. Could you please check and let us know when payment might be made? Thanks, Jake Adams, Credit Control, Tel: 0845 300 2952." But when I scanned the attachment - named RBS_invoice_15112013.zip - it turned out to contain a Trojan horse virus called Generic_r.DEM. Be careful opening such files!

Received something similar from another number saying...

Attached is an invoice copy which apparently hasn’t been paid according to our accounts.

Would appreciate you checking on this and letting me know when the payment might come through.

Cheers,
