I made the mistake of picking up a call from a number I didn’t recognise, thinking it might be important. The guy on the line said he knew my name and accused me of not taking advantage of free calls through BT, which is meant to be my provider. The weird thing is, I’m not even with BT! So I just ended the call straight away.

Got a ring from someone called Sophie who was pushing this deal for unlimited calls and texts, saying it works through my current network. I told her I wasn’t interested, ended the call right away, then reported the number to the TPS. After that, I set up a block on my phone so they can’t call me again.

Got four calls from these lot in a couple of weeks, saying they can give me free calls. They had my name and where I live, which was a bit creepy. I told them quite nicely to buzz off. When I asked who was ringing, they said it was I Talk.

Can someone tell me who keeps ringing? These calls are driving me mad!

They rang me, I picked up but didn’t say anything, just left the phone beside the telly where Jamie Oliver was cooking. After she kept saying hello over and over, I reckon she gave up and ended the call. Well, at least someone’s gonna get a nice meal out of it!

This number has been ringing me every day! Luckily, I got the BT Phone 8500 Guardian Angel which automatically stops calls from numbers not saved in the phone’s database. Honestly, having this phone is a proper lifesaver.

Got a ring from some firm claiming to be I-Talk. They told me I wasn’t signed up for my free calls, which I supposedly deserved. I said I didn’t want anything to do with it, but the chap kept on about how they were just trying to help me save cash. In the end, I just cut the call.

I got a ring from some lot claiming to be from I-talk, said I wasn’t receiving my free calls I should be getting. They even mentioned my name and postcode, said they managed my phone line. Didn’t agree to any of what she was asking, kept quiet. Told her I didn’t know who she was, then she just ended the call saying I wasn’t being cooperative today.

They rang me up asking if I was getting the free calls I was supposed to be getting. I told them I wasn’t pleased since I had no idea who they were, and before I could say more, they just ended the call.

Absolutely right! Best to steer clear of sharing any details with those unsolicited callers. She'd probably just end up passing your information along to other random cold callers. Just not worth the risk, is it?
