Monday 6th January 2014, 11:30 a.m. I’ve just had a rather dubious telephone conversation with a lady whose accent suggested she was from India. She was offering some sort of pre-programmed device to block unwanted calls, priced at £1.90 a month (seems like prices are creeping up, doesn’t it?). Well, being no fool, I hit the brakes when she began to ask me for the card details, including the number and the three-digit security code on the reverse.

This particular number has been ringing me incessantly at all times, day or night, yet there’s never anyone on the other end. Quite frustrating, to say the least!

Monday, 6th January 2014, at half past eleven. Just had a rather peculiar call from a lady who had quite a strong Indian accent. She was going on about providing me with some sort of fancy blocking gadget to hook up to my landline, asking for a fee of £1.90 monthly (inflation has certainly made its mark!). Not being one to fall for such nonsense, I put a halt to the discussion as soon as she started inquiring about which card I intended to use for payment, along with its number and the three digits on the reverse.

Received a rather bothersome call from something claiming to be the “Call Prevention Service” not too long ago. It was clearly a dodgy scam, likely originating from India. They wanted my card details in return for some miraculous call-blocking gadget they promised to dispatch. I led Joseph on for a solid quarter of an hour before I decided to leave him in suspense while I nipped off for my supper. What a bunch of crooks!

I've come across what I believe to be a total fraud and have already notified the Surrey Police about it. They've assured me they'll look into my complaint. Here’s hoping someone from the company takes notice of this message.
