Received a call from this number claiming to be from a call blocking service. I informed them that we already had a call blocker in place, and as soon as I mentioned it, they hung up straight away! Quite suspicious behaviour, if you ask me.

Received a call from this number earlier on in the day, where the person on the line tried to sell me a service to put an end to annoying calls for a monthly charge. I hung up promptly as soon as I declined their offer.

I received a rather peculiar phone call from someone who identified himself as Adam, claiming to represent the UK government in a bid to eliminate pesky nuisance calls. He mentioned a "complimentary" service, though it turned out I was expected to fork out £2.50 each month for a span of three years for some contraption to be installed on my telephone. It certainly raises an eyebrow regarding what this gadget truly entails, doesn’t it? I firmly told him that I refuse to pay for something purportedly offered for free, and just like that, he disconnected the line.

I had a similar experience earlier today. I inquired about their methods for spotting telemarketers and was met with complete silence... he clearly had no response! When I pressed him again, he finally mumbled something about knowing when an unknown number lights up on their screen! They're charging a couple of quid a month for this service! I told him he was just as much a nuisance and hung up!

How amusing! I'd received three calls with no one on the other end, and then the fourth was quite the surprise. A chap named 'Charles', who had a rather noticeable Asian accent, was on the line trying to sell me a phone blocker. I couldn’t help but tell him to take a hike and “go off and reproduce”! Quite the cheeky encounter, if I do say so myself!

It appears these individuals are masquerading as representatives from Sky or BT, which is rather concerning. I can only imagine how easily the elderly might be misled by their convincing act. I managed to gather as much information as I could, fully aware it was all a ruse, and shared my findings on Twitter to raise awareness. Fingers crossed they face the consequences they deserve; what a bunch of lowlifes!

Received a call, but there was nothing on the other end before it just cut off. It's rather frustrating, isn't it? Why isn’t there more action taken to tackle these pesky calls?

They persistently ring you up. It seems the usual approach is to bombard you with anonymous calls for a few days, and then they hit you with a call from 08451297936, attempting to peddle a call-blocking device. If you're in the market for one, I'd recommend checking out the offerings on Amazon - they’ve got a few solid options!

I just received a call from this number while at my mother’s place, who is quite advanced in years and unfortunately suffers from dementia, making her rather anxious with nuisance calls. I thought I’d have a proper chat if it was legit, but when I spoke to "Charles," who was apparently "Aaron's" supervisor, they both sounded way more Asian than their names implied. I mentioned that I didn't have my bank card at hand and asked if they could send me the information via post so that I could ring back to sort out my payment for the dubious 'magic black box.' He promptly hung up on me... How disappointing for my mum, as she'll have to keep hanging up whenever an unknown caller rings!

Received a call from an Indian chap named "Dwayne"-very inventive, I must say! He was peddling some sort of nuisance call blocker. I couldn’t help but chuckle at the irony of it all! Ended up cutting the line!

I encountered the same chap with a distinctly Indian accent, and let me tell you, the background noise was utterly chaotic and unprofessional. He assured me that all pesky calls would cease within 28 days, and he even mentioned I could ring this number to voice any complaints if the calls persisted. There was no reference to any fees initially, but then he pivoted to offering me a monthly subscription for a call-blocking device, promising that the price would remain stable forever. I couldn't help but think he was angling for my bank details at that point. When I queried why he hadn’t disclosed the costs upfront, he rather rudely retorted, asking why I hadn’t prompted him about it in the first place. In no uncertain terms, I told him to seek a proper line of work rather than scamming unsuspecting individuals. I sincerely hope nobody falls victim to this nonsense!

I'm utterly exhausted from all these calls where there's no one on the other end! It's driving me bonkers!

I had a chap with a distinct Indian accent ring me up, rambling on about a multitude of sales calls and annoying phone interruptions. When he paused to catch his breath after asking if that was accurate, I couldn't help myself-I replied with an emphatic yes, even right now with this call! Then, without a second thought, I told him to take a hike and promptly ended the call!

Received a call from these chaps, claiming to offer some kind of miraculous call blocking device-at what seemed to be a rather modest initial price, likely just to entice us with a shiny envelope. But I have no doubt that once you’re hooked, the fees would escalate quicker than you can say ‘rip-off’. My question is this: after doing a quick online search for their number, it’s become abundantly clear that these individuals have been flagged on numerous anti-spam platforms, literally thousands of times! So, I’m left pondering, what on earth is Ofcom doing about this situation? They keep mentioning their intentions to tackle such persistent cold calling, but when will they actually take a firm stand against these relentless offenders who seem to be operating with impunity?

I've been bothered by this pesky number that's been ringing me. Last week, I answered and they tried to rope me into signing up for some sort of call blocking service. They rang me again this evening, but when I picked up, the line went dead. Quite irritating, really!

What a right bother this call turned out to be! The lady on the line claimed she could put an end to all my pesky telemarketing calls by somehow switching my postcode from the TPS to a ‘Do Not Call’ status. I quickly pointed out the irony, telling her that her call itself was a perfect example of a nuisance. I asked how it made sense to create a disturbance while claiming to deal with disturbances. Luckily, we never got to the part where cash was to change hands, as she promptly ended the call. Quite the cheek, if you ask me!

I received a call from a chap named Kevin who provided me with a reference number. He mentioned that all the postcodes around us had banded together for a monthly fee of just over a quid to put an end to these pesky calls. I've since blocked that number, and it seems like it was all for naught!

It’s high time we put an end to these pesky calls once and for all! Fining these culprits doesn't seem to have any effect. Maybe a harsher approach, like jailing the individuals responsible for these phone numbers, would do the trick. If that’s not permissible, then surely it’s the responsibility of the police to step in and take action! Come on, police force, let’s see you tackle these lawbreakers. They’re flouting the rules and it’s about time something was done!

Goodness gracious! I was under the impression that as of yesterday, these kinds of calls had been outlawed and are now liable to a hefty penalty of £500,000. I reckon it’s high time to impose a fine on this number, seeing as they rang me on Tuesday, the 7th of April.

Today I received a couple of sales calls from this number, one from a gentleman and the other from a lady, both with accents that sounded Asian. The first call came in at precisely 10:58 in the morning and the second at 1:01 in the afternoon. They were trying to fish for my bank details under the pretext of helping me put an end to unwanted calls-ironically, the very annoyance they were contributing to!

I'm just at my wit's end with this incessant nuisance of a number ringing me up. Every time I get up to answer, it's either crickets on the other end or some ploy to squeeze money out of me to cease these bothersome calls that seem never-ending. At 75, and struggling with arthritis, it’s a massive effort to keep leaping up just to find it's yet another pointless call. Honestly, it’s become quite unbearable! Best regards, Maria Owen

I’ve just received a rather dubious phone call from this number. A chap named 'Jacob' was on the line, droning on about some government-endorsed scheme that cost £31.90 a month for three years. He wouldn't let me get a word in edgeways and had the audacity to question my trust after declaring they were government-approved! I hung up after mentioning I’d investigate the number online. Why on earth can’t the government take swift action to terminate these dodgy calls right away?

Received a rather troublesome call today. I gave them a piece of my mind, saying they could shove it. If it were government-related, it wouldn’t cost a penny! I mentioned that come April, if they kept up their nonsense, they’d be facing a hefty fine. The line cut off faster than a cat on a hot tin roof!

I recently had a rather dubious call from the number 08451297936. A chap named Sam, who had quite a distinct Indian accent, claimed to be from something called the dncr register. He mentioned that I had apparently received a multitude of nuisance calls. However, the moment he mentioned a £1.90 monthly fee, I knew something was amiss. If it were a legitimate service, they certainly wouldn’t be asking for payment! I promptly told him I wasn’t interested and hung up in utter disbelief!

Received a call earlier from a chap with a thick accent-took me mere moments to realise it was nothing but a scam. I decided to play along, acting as if I couldn’t hear him, and that’s when he really lost his cool, shouting “Are you deaf?” in quite a tizzy! It’s incredibly draining dealing with these dodgy scammers; they seem to pester me nearly twice daily without fail.

Received a rather dubious call earlier today from a call centre, seemed to be based in India, with a chap calling himself Wilson. After enduring his sales pitch, he suddenly mentioned transferring me to a colleague. The connection was dreadful, and I struggled to make out what he was saying, which made me nervous about whether I was racking up charges for the call. In the end, I decided to hang up. If they were genuine, wouldn’t they have called me back to clarify the dropped line? What’s really unsettling is how they already had my name, phone number, and address, including my postcode. It’s reminiscent of other stories I’ve seen posted, and interestingly, my husband has been actively attempting to block these nuisance calls lately. There seems to be a pattern emerging here.

I received a rather chatty call from someone named "Michelle" who seemed rather convincing. She claimed to be representing a government-backed service for "call-barring TPS". I had recently signed up with TPS, so I was a bit gullible and ended up engaging with her, despite my usual scepticism about phone calls. It didn’t take long for things to raise red flags! She insisted I provide my card details for a supposed £1.90 monthly fee over three years, which she said was necessary to cover the costs of a device they would supposedly send me to block nuisance calls-this would arrive in just three days via registered post. I probed her with numerous questions, and she rattled off answers, including a registered address in Bournemouth and a company registration number. Beware, though - "Michelle" barely lets you speak and bombards you with information! I flat-out refused to share any card details and was encouraged to call their customer service line to confirm the legitimacy of the call-0845 1297936. The number sounded familiar, so I quickly googled it and discovered it was indeed linked to a scam! Having reported numerous nuisance calls to the Telephone Preference Service recently, I was unfortunately misled at first. Stay vigilant, folks!

I've been in limbo over a job opportunity, and in a rather daft move, I rang them back, all hopeful that it might lead to an offer. Only after the fact did it hit me-what a numpty I was! Fingers crossed it hasn’t set me back too much. Cheers, Loz

Has anyone here experienced a situation where they've paid Real Comm Box via the number 08451297936? My aunt recently noticed a deduction of £84.99 from her bank account after she was initially informed that she’d only be charged £1.90 monthly for up to three years. The product was never even opened; it was returned straight away upon its arrival. Now, we're grappling with how to reclaim the funds. I’d greatly appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to resolve this issue. Cheers for any assistance!

My mother recently received a rather suspicious phone call from a woman named "Michelle." This lady claimed we were inundated with nuisance calls and promised to send a blocking device within a couple of days, asserting that it was backed by the government. However, they demanded a hefty fee of £84.99 for three years, and were quite pushy about needing our card details and a password. My brother decided to step in and take over the conversation, at which point she abruptly mentioned that it was a legally recorded call. When he pressed her about whether she had stated that at the start of the chat, she became all flustered and couldn't provide an answer, eventually hanging up on him. Quite suspicious, don’t you think?

Absolutely, they’re still very much active and seem to be on the prowl for more unsuspecting souls to dupe as we kick off the New Year. Quite a few of my mates have received calls from them recently. I find immense satisfaction in dragging out the conversation as long as I can, relishing in the growing irritation of the caller as I bombard them with questions about their so-called ‘blocking device’. I’m well aware this is nothing more than a scam and have zero plans to fall for it. So far, the record I've set for wasting their time is a whopping 37 minutes, all while I prepared my dinner. You can only imagine the things he said when I finally revealed that little detail! If you’ve got the spare moments, do consider keeping them on the line; every minute they spend chatting with you is a minute they aren’t conning someone else!

I received a call from someone claiming to be affiliated with the Do Not Call register, suggesting they could send me a device to help eliminate nuisance calls. They were asking for a fee of £1.90 each month for a three-year commitment. When I made it clear that I had no intention of paying for such a service, the line went dead rather abruptly. Quite the cheek, I must say!

I share a comparable story to what others have mentioned regarding this number. It was a chap named Tom who reached out to me with an offer for a deal priced at £1.90 a month. What’s quite alarming is that I had only just lodged a complaint with the TPS a mere twenty minutes prior. Isn’t that a bit too coincidental? I've shot them an email to inform them of this unsettling encounter.

We were taken in by it and have yet to get it functioning properly. Absolute rubbish, if you ask me! To top it all off, they had the audacity to attempt selling us the very same product later on in the year. Cheers from Birmingham!

What a bunch of numpties! They really ought to find something better to do with their time. Constantly ringing me, yet it’s a fruitless endeavour since I only answer calls from folks I recognise. Complete daftness, if you ask me!

I also find myself in a bit of a predicament with this outfit and, rather foolishly, used my Visa card to make the payment!
Is there anyone out there who can shed some light on how to go about cancelling the transaction before they take any funds? Or perhaps suggest the best course of action if the money has already been deducted? I've reached out to my bank, but it seems that this has yet to appear in their records!

What a dreadful scam this is! They claim to collaborate with the government to eliminate unwanted calls, yet they are the very nuisance themselves. They managed to con a pensioner out of £50.00, and when she attempted to cancel her order, they had the audacity to threaten her with a £299.00 fee for doing so. To make matters worse, she hasn't even received the equipment she supposedly ordered! Thankfully, she's reported the whole affair to her phone provider, who is now looking into the matter. It’s utterly appalling!

I received a peculiar call today from someone named 'Michelle'. There was something off about her accent, but I couldn't really pinpoint where it might be from. Our chat mirrored experiences shared by others; she mentioned a discount available for seniors like myself. However, I wasn’t entirely swayed and cleverly remarked that I was in a rush to catch my bus-otherwise, I’d be stranded. Rather than prolong the conversation, I hung up.

I recently received a phone call from a gentleman with an Indian accent named 'Shaun', who claimed to be representing the DO NOT CALL REGISTER. He was trying to sell me a so-called complimentary call blocker but mentioned there would be an admin charge of £1.90 a month. Upon discovering I was a pensioner, he offered to reduce the fee to £1.20. He suggested I ring his supervisor at 0845 129 7936 for some sort of validation. However, I expressed my lack of trust and promptly ended the conversation.

I received a rather peculiar call today from a lady who had an Asian accent and was struggling with her English. She inquired if I get nuisance calls, which, I must say, I do. I managed to catch her name, “Sharon,” and pressed her for the company she was representing. She stated it was "Don't Call Register." It appeared she was trying to rope me into paying a monthly fee for blocking those annoying calls. I firmly mentioned that my phone provider would handle such issues and that I wouldn’t be accepting calls from any other firm unannounced. After getting her name and number, I pointed out that she herself was being a nuisance and made it clear that she wouldn’t obtain any of my personal information. And would you believe it? She promptly hung up on me!

Blimey, I was just having a chat with this chap about whether there’s still the odd nuisance call creeping in, as it seemed like a right nuisance that could be sorted out. I had a proper faff with BT a few months back when I was bombarded with no less than 20 calls a week! But to their credit, they’ve really got their act together, and now it’s significantly better - just the odd pesky call slips through the cracks on occasion. I was quite clear with the bloke on the other end that I’m pretty much free of those annoying calls now… well, apart from this one I’m dealing with right now. But lo and behold, he just hung up on me without so much as a ‘cheerio!’ How rude!

What an absolute bother these callers are! It's rather ridiculous, really, getting cold calls about how to halt cold calls. Just the other day, I had my first encounter with them, and lo and behold, it was right after I touched base with the Telephone Preference Service to check on my registration, given the surge of nuisance calls I've been enduring. Ever since that initial ring, they've continued to pester me relentlessly, even after I made it quite clear - in no uncertain terms - that I wanted them to disappear.

I received a similar call from someone named Brad, who was asking for £89 for a blocking device. I mentioned I’d look into it before making a decision, and he responded rather haughtily with an Indian accent before abruptly ending the call. Quite rude, really!

Received a call from a chap named Tom earlier today. He claimed he’d put an end to my annoying telemarketer calls. I couldn’t help but point out that he was just as bothersome! He offered to send me a gadget to attach to my phone that supposedly intercepts these nuisance calls. However, as soon as I declined, wouldn’t you know, he hung up on me without a second thought!

Received a rather intriguing call earlier today from this number. A chap named Brad was on the line, informing me that I'd been having issues with pesky marketing calls originating from India and the Far East. He proceeded to provide me with a number, insisting that I must call it to get my details added to the do not call register. Naturally, I was quite curious how he had the faintest idea that my number had any issues with such calls. Just as I wanted to delve deeper, the connection dropped abruptly! What a coincidence!

I received a phone call from this chap, and whilst he was yapping away, I decided to look up the number 08451297936 on the internet. When he requested a password to supposedly 'secure' our conversation, I mentioned that I had found some information about his number and read out the first review I stumbled across. Strangely enough, he just disconnected the call! Quite amusing, really!

I received a rather dubious call purporting to be from the CPS/TPS, attempting to peddle a device to block nuisance calls. I firmly declined to divulge any banking information over the phone. It was a rather persuasive attempt for several reasons: Firstly, I had recently lodged a complaint with the CPS regarding bothersome recorded calls; secondly, they asserted they were an official government body; and lastly, the incessant nuisance calls had been driving me absolutely bonkers. I was on the verge of being deceived. This organisation really needs to be shut down, and I’m considering bringing this matter to the attention of my MP. Alternatively, ROD elsewhere on this page has provided an insightful glimpse into their operations.

Yesterday, I received a rather unexpected call from someone named "Ronnie." He shared information that echoed what’s already been mentioned above. It struck me as a bit odd that he was cold-calling me under the pretext of helping me avoid cold-callers. When I probed into how he had my number, he simply claimed they were reaching out to all households. I put a stop to him when he began asking me to set up a password point. I also mentioned needing to consult with my partner, and I could practically feel his disappointment radiate through the line as he hung up. I’m relieved I followed my instincts on this one. It's quite unfortunate that it breeds a sense of mistrust towards phone calls in general.

I found myself in a similar predicament, not entirely clear-headed at the time. I reached out to my bank for assistance, but alas, they were not inclined to aid in recovering my funds. Just attempted to call that number again, only to be met with a recorded message. It's a total scam, without a doubt!

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming they were addressing a complaint I’d filed regarding nuisance calls and assuring me they could put a stop to them. Naturally, I started pressing him for details about the organisation he represented and the reason behind the call. His response was rather dismissive, asking, “Haven’t you been paying attention?” He then provided a number for me to ring back. When I probed further, asking if he worked for a government department, he abruptly ended the call! Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I had a phone call from this number just yesterday. The chap, who sounded of Asian descent, introduced himself as Edward and claimed to be ringing from an outfit named 'Do Not Call Register,' which he said was linked to the Telephone Preference Service and was endorsed by the government. He mentioned that my phone number associated with my postcode had been flagged due to a significant amount of pesky nuisance calls. For a mere £2 a month over a span of three months, he said they could provide a device to connect to my phone line that would block these unwanted calls. The rest of the conversation echoed what others have described. As soon as he began mentioning the need for me to ring back on an 0845 number to finalise the arrangement, I became wary, informed him it sounded like a scam, and hung up without hesitation.

I typically steer clear of making purchases via phone, but somehow I found myself entangled with a character named Sam. It was one of those days-everything seemed to be going wrong-and I hesitated to hand over my credit card information. In hindsight, I really ought to have trusted my instincts and told them to shove off. A quick look on Companies House revealed that the business isn’t even registered, and their address doesn’t match up either. Take it from me, don’t fall for their ruse; they’re nothing but a bunch of fraudsters. I can't believe I let myself get taken in like that!

My missus just had the same call from that number but she was clever enough to tell them to try us again when I'm around. Curiosity got the better of me, so I typed the number into Google and lo and behold, stumbled upon your brilliant website, which just reinforced what I already suspected. If they dare ring us again, I think I’ll string them along for a bit before casually proposing they cut down my nuisance calls by one, just for good measure. Great job you’re doing, keep it up! Cheers, BAZ

I recently received a rather dubious call from a chap named Zak, who claimed to be affiliated with the Do Not Call registration service. He offered to eliminate all those pesky nuisance calls for just £1.90 a month over a three-year period, insisting that he'd dispatch a device for my phone. Immediately, he requested my banking information on the spot. When I refused to share such sensitive details over the phone, he assured me he was part of a legitimate government-supported organisation. To my surprise, he then abruptly terminated the call. I can’t help but wonder - was that a scam?

I recently received a call from this number. The person on the line claimed to represent an entirely different company from those mentioned here, yet it was the exact same number. They probed about nuisance calls, and when I replied that I encounter fewer nowadays, she simply responded with a casual “oh, that's alright” and promptly disconnected. Quite peculiar, to say the least!

I've had my fair share of silent calls today - quite a few actually - all from blocked numbers. Then, out of the blue, I got a call from 08451297936. They claimed they were reaching out regarding the nuisance calls I had been receiving and, for a fee, could put an end to them. I couldn’t help but point out the absurdity of the situation: a call about nuisance calls, from a company likely responsible for said nuisance in the first place! When I mentioned the TPS, he uttered, "What’s that?" I replied that a reputable outfit would surely be aware of the regulations that govern them. I eventually hung up on him. Honestly, it’s high time the government stepped up, as these scammers are well aware that they won’t succeed with most people, yet they persist in their attempts to find someone gullible enough.

I recently received a call from a woman with an Indian accent named Jacqueline, who claimed to represent a government-affiliated service called something like the Call Register. She informed me that we were apparently inundated with a plethora of nuisance calls (how would they even know that?) and offered to sell us a call blocker device for just £1.99 a month over a three-year contract, assuring me it would also prevent international calls. After the three-year period, they would let us keep it. However, I’ve seen these devices available for a fraction of that price from trustworthy shops, and I’d highly advise against sharing any financial information over the phone. Cold callers are never to be trusted. Whether it’s a scam or not, it certainly raises red flags, and I lean towards the idea that it’s a con.

Yesterday, I received a rather concerning phone call from a chap who identified himself as Danny. He spoke with my other half and started probing for our bank details. What an absolute disgrace! My poor 70-year-old mother is absolutely heartbroken thanks to these despicable individuals. I recently received an unexpected phone call from this number, purporting to be associated with the don’t call register. Having been bombarded with sales calls lately, I regret to admit that I was taken in by this fraudulent scheme, resulting in a charge of £84.99 for a purported call blocker and a three-year subscription to their register. It has now been nearly two weeks since that call, and guess what? No sign of the call blocker has materialised. Whenever I try to get in touch, I’m always met with a message saying I’m first in the queue, yet I only ever reach their answering machine, even on weekdays! Please, for your own sake, don’t be as gullible as I was. If they ring, just hang up and set them straight! If you’re in the market for a call blocker, you can easily find one for around £20.00 on Amazon.
