I’ve just found that £3.99 has been charged to my credit card by Dial Direct (Avon), seemingly for some added insurance that I never asked for when I took out my home insurance. It's rather sneaky, albeit possibly within legal bounds. I called Dial Direct Insurance to voice my concerns, only to be informed that it was a separate policy and they suggested I reach out to what sounded like an international number (00448540756). Absolutely ridiculous! I proceeded to call the UK number 08448540756 for Dial Direct (Avon) and not only did I cancel that unwelcome policy, but I also let them know exactly how I felt about the whole situation!
