absolutely fuming to open my phone bill and find a premium charge for booking a replacement for my recalled washing machine. cost me £14.26! it’s shocking that hotpoint are hitting customers with this when we’ve already been through the stress and fire danger. defo never going to buy hotpoint stuff again!

Avoid calling 08448540721. I rang their Hotpoint line about a replacement washing machine delivery, ended up talking for over 8 minutes and got slapped with an £18.87 charge. Complete rip off. Never once did they mention it's a premium rate number. Honestly, this feels like plain theft to me. Don't waste your money on this number.

I can't seem to recollect any call from the 8th of January 2020. I only noticed the matter while examining my most recent phone bill. The sole calls that stick in my mind are the dodgy ones I received on my mobile, warning me about "warrants being issued for my arrest by HMRC." Those scam attempts came from +1 202-455-8888 on the 21st of January 2020 and 02042002520 on the 24th of January 2020 - I suspect they might be linked to 08448540721 and potentially the other calls to my mobile that I've mentioned.

Just got a call from Whirlpool telling me to ring them back to sort out an appointment for swapping my washing machine that they say might be a fire hazard. What they didn’t tell me is that their number charges a premium rate. Honestly feels like a sneaky way for Whirlpool to make a few quid off customers for an issue they caused themselves. Ended up paying £11.21 just to get through!

whirlpool uses this number for their recall on washing machines that might catch fire. they send out emails saying something like: ring us on 08448 540 721 before 5pm on ######## january 2020 to arrange a time for your replacement machine to be delivered. its a bit cheeky since they dont mention that calling this number will cost you, especially after all the trouble customers have gone through with their machines being unsafe to use.
