Absolutely a bothersome caller, that one. I picked up, and there was just a moment of silence followed by a pre-recorded voice bidding me farewell. This isn’t the first encounter of this sort, unfortunately.

In the past week, this number has rung me twice. Each time, they've claimed that my personal information is making the rounds globally and that’s supposedly the reason I'm being bombarded with unwanted calls (which, truth be told, I’m not). They tried to sell me some sort of subscription service. It’s nothing short of a scam! The Telephone Preference Service provides this sort of help at no charge, whereas these CPS folks are clearly out to line their pockets.

Received a call this morning from someone promoting a service similar to the Telephone Preference Service regarding nuisance and silent calls. They're insisting I purchase a device for £1.90 to prevent these unwanted calls. Sounds dodgy, doesn’t it?
