When we cheekily inquired about their connection to our local council, they claimed to be affiliated with a government entity, insisting that we had the right to complimentary assistance. Regardless of whether our name actually matches the number, it’s quite clear that they seem to be masquerading as a government agency, which surely raises some legal eyebrows. We've asked multiple times to have our details removed from their database, yet we still get bombarded with calls-sometimes four in a single day. It's utterly relentless!

Received a call from this lot this evening, but the moment we answered, there was nothing but silence on the other end - as if they’d simply vanished. Perhaps they predicted they’d be met with a fair bit of grief upon ringing us again. They’ve tried contacting us previously, albeit from a different number, and I really thought they’d taken the hint after I clearly told them we weren’t interested. Seems I was mistaken!

We’ve had at least three calls from these folks, and honestly, it’s getting rather tiresome. An individual with what sounds like an accent keeps attempting to act as if they know us, but we’ve clearly told them on a couple of occasions that we’re not interested in answering any questions. Virgin Media let us know this number is linked to premium rates, which leads us to believe this is a crafty ploy to get you to ring back and rack up an extortionate bill. I intend to reach out to trading standards first thing in the morning; it would be splendid if they could hit 08448466529 with a hefty fine. I urge everyone to report this to trading standards as well so we can put a stop to these dodgy operators.
