Recently, my father fell prey to a company called Call Management, who 'encouraged' him to purchase a call blocker device for the price of £125. He unwisely shared his debit card information, and they promptly deducted the funds. This is rather ludicrous considering he already possesses a call blocker intended to stop such fraudulent calls in the first place! When the box eventually arrived, he reached out to them, requesting to return it. Their response? He was told to simply 'chuck it in the bin'. Technically, they could argue that they've delivered a product for the money exchanged, managing to stay just within the confines of legality. Still, their methods are akin to extortion, and the price tag on this item is nearly three times higher than a standard box. It’s utterly shameful behaviour!

Back in early February 2017, I received a rather dubious phone call on my landline from a certain company. They claimed that I had already paid towards their service aimed at reducing unsolicited calls and that they had now partnered with BT. They insisted that if I forked out £125, I would be granted lifetime coverage for this so-called service. However, I soon discovered that they never actually delivered what they promised. Later that very same day, I realised I had made a monumental mistake by providing my bank account details to this firm. I promptly reached out to my bank, but they sadly couldn’t halt the payment that was requested shortly thereafter. Determined to rectify my error, I contacted the company's call management team to cancel the payment. They assured me it would be processed, but they warned it might take up to five days. Unfortunately, to my dismay, I never saw that money returned!

I’ve just had a right unpleasant experience with the number 08448046561, which appears to be a total scam. My mother ended up losing £125 to them. Just a word of caution for everyone - steer clear!
