Unfortunately, when I reached out to BT Customer Services for answers, they were unable to shed any light on who might be behind this number.

This number is related to Streamline. I have a dedicated analogue line specifically for the Streamline device, and this is the number that shows up on my invoice.

We've encountered the very same problem with this number. It appeared on our phone bill last December. We reached out to BT, and their response was to suggest we fork out £13 every three months for this line. We're rather baffled as to why we're expected to pay, considering someone obviously used our line for some dodgy dealings. We voiced our concerns about this issue, and now they’ve lodged a fault report with the exchange. We're just twiddling our thumbs, awaiting more information from them.

This number keeps popping up on my bill weekly, usually about three or four occasions. I'm with TalkTalk, and I've reached out to them multiple times, but it's been a dead end every time. I do have a card machine for processing payments, and we're starting to suspect there could be a link there. However, no one can seem to confirm this theory. Has anyone else encountered something similar or have any suggestions?

We're currently looking into this issue for one of my clients. Streamline has confirmed that there was a machine-generated call, but we’ve been told it only occurred weekly for updates. In my situation, a client tends to receive calls each evening around the time of 01:40 to 01:50, with 01:43 being the usual spot. We've been instructed to have the merchant give them a call at this number: 0800 01 01 66 (freephone in the UK). Hope this information proves useful to you.

We've been facing the very same issue with this number; it’s appeared on our phone bills since December. I reached out to BT, and they suggested that we’d need to fork out £13 every three months to block this number. It seems utterly ridiculous to pay when it’s clear someone has been tampering with our line and possibly up to no good. We lodged a complaint regarding this, and they’ve now reported the fault to the exchange. I'm currently awaiting their response on this matter.
