I've been noticing that this number seems to ring me multiple times every evening, and it’s racking up quite the expense-around £7 to £8 a week on my phone bill. My card processing setup is through Retail Merchant Services, and after doing a bit of digging online, it appears that they’re the ones making updates to my card machine repeatedly throughout the night. Quite the nuisance, isn't it?

I've noticed that my phone line or card reader dials this number nearly every night, usually somewhere between 1 am and 6 am. It happens at least five times, with each call spaced out by about three minutes. The charges for these calls seem to range from 17p to 25p each time! Quite an annoyance, really!

I stumbled upon this interesting tidbit on whocallsme.com about the number 08447016306. Turns out it's related to the update service for card processing machines. We've got a Transax/Certegy machine ourselves, and I must say, it has been ringing incessantly-117 times in just three months! Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!
