Just had a missed call a moment ago, but 1471 revealed this number. Based on the comments I've read above, it appears to be the same automated message stating, "This was a free message." It’s been ringing my phone nearly every day for weeks now. Previously, it was coming from a withheld number, and I thought I had sorted this out; my number was ex-directory and registered with the TPS to prevent these kinds of disturbances in my life. Yet, somehow, it seems these callers are operating beyond the reach of the law. It's absolutely infuriating!

I've been getting these calls on our work line for quite a bit now, roughly every week without fail. I can only imagine they've managed to scrape our number from somewhere online, or maybe it’s just been randomly generated, as I can’t see how our number ended up on any lists. The most annoying part is that when you answer, they hang up right after. At least now we can see their number, which is an improvement since it used to come up as withheld. It's really been quite frustrating!

It's become quite a nuisance, to say the least! We recently requested our phone provider to block all withheld numbers because we were inundated with the same telemarketing calls several times daily, all from unknown numbers. Now, it appears we're just getting bombarded from this one particular line. Surely there has to be a method to put an end to this madness, as it's reaching ludicrous levels. It’s infuriating every time we pick up the phone!

It would be much fairer if these companies were required to include their name and contact number in their automated messages. Then, perhaps I'd be inclined to return the call! We've just switched our service from BT to Virgin Media and also got ourselves a new number. Lately, we’ve been getting these phone calls, sometimes two or three times a day, which is quite annoying. We were hoping to hang onto our previous BT number. As a retired couple, we certainly don’t want this sort of inconvenience in our lives.
