I've just received the same response regarding the Telephone Preference Service. Had a glance at the Information Commissioner's Office site, but honestly, I can't be bothered with all the paperwork. What we're after is a number so we can ring these jokers up and turn the tables on them!

Not long after I rang the number from a public payphone, I was greeted with a message requesting my name and number. In the end, I left my number on their answering machine along with a rather ambiguous name. I'm quite puzzled as to why they would require that information in the first place.

The Kent police nuisance call department seemed quite eager to help with this matter, as we’ve been trying to get rid of these pestering calls for more than a couple of days now, and the incessant phone calls just keep coming.
