The call ended abruptly before I had the chance to pick up; it’s likely just another pesky telemarketer.

I picked up and it was one of those recorded messages saying they’d been trying to reach me. Something about pension or PPI. The number was blocked.

Got the same thing as others, just one ring then they cut off. Left a missed call on my phone. If you get called by this number, best block it as soon as you can.

I strongly advise against returning any calls to this number. Fortunately, I stumbled upon this site before making that mistake myself after spotting a missed call from an 0844 number on my phone. Normally, I wouldn't even consider calling back, but I hesitated this time. If a call is genuinely pressing, they'll leave a message, right? These types of nuisances often bother us on our landline too, which is why we decided to invest in an answering machine some time ago. It helps us sift through calls without getting wound up by the incessant ringing! We tell our mates and family to let us know when the machine kicks in, so we can decide whether to pick up if we’re about. Avoid returning the call! This is a premium number that only rings once purposely. When you get curious and call back, you end up paying an expensive fee just for answering. Seriously, dont call them back! Just block the number straight away and the others that look alike.
