ITS JUST THE SAME SCAM AGAIN, BUT USING OTHER 0843/4/5 NUMBERS. THEY CALL YOU AND DROP THE CALL AFTER A FEW SECONDS, LIKELY TRYING TO TRICK YOU INTO RINGING THEM BACK. THIS IS A PREMIUM RATE LINE AND CAN COST YOU A FORTUNE. COMPLETE RIP OFF. I SIMPLY BLOCK ANY NUMBER THAT BEGINS WITH 084 BECAUSE THEYRE ALMOST ALWAYS SCAMS OR SOMETHING SUSPICIOUS.

Looks like that was a smart choice after reading what others said. Calling 0844 numbers costs per minute, usually between 2 and 5p if you’re on a BT landline. Other landlines might charge a bit more though. On mobiles, the cost can be quite steep, from about 10p right up to 40p a minute on some pay-as-you-go plans, which seems totally unfair to me.
