Gave us a bell on our mobile but didn’t leave any message.

I kept phoning this number thinking it was BT calling me back (luckily, only got one ring from a mobile). Got stuck on hold for like two songs then it just cut off. BT told me it wasn’t their number, so I reckon it’s some sort of scam. Don’t think it was pricey from a landline though, if I understood their charges right.

The same number called again but I didn't get to pick up in time, and they didn't leave a voicemail either. I've just blocked this number now!

Got a call saying I had a parcel coming, but I haven’t bought anything recently! It was all automated and they didn’t give any contact info or anything. Very fishy.

Waited ages on the phone. They mentioned an agent had called earlier and insisted on speaking to us 'today'.

They only dialed once, barely a few seconds, then when I phoned them back, an automated message said they needed to talk to us today, followed by a hold that lasted more than 10 minutes.

From what I’ve read here (I got the same call but never bothered returning it), it looks like they’re trying to cash in by getting folks to call back on a premium line. Even tho 0844 numbers usually cost less than 10p a minute, if they get tons of people calling, it adds up fast. Say they ring out 1,000 times a day and 200 people actually ring back and wait on the line for 10 minutes - that’s easily £200 daily just from holding charges alone. Seems like a sneaky way to rake in some dosh.

They called and then hung up after just a second. I called back and was told it was urgent and they needed to speak to me that day. I waited on hold for about 8 minutes then gave up and ended the call.

Same here, got a call that barely rang before cutting out, no way to pick up. Then I heard a robot say something like "it's important you talk to me today," and it put me on hold forever - like six mins! Eventually gave up and ended the call. Really curious about who they were trying to get hold of.
