It dawned on us that we were dealing with a bunch of con artists from ME CLUB, unfortunately after I'd already handed over my card details. Their sales spiel claimed they wouldn't take any funds until the magazine arrived and I consented to join. I thought I was in the clear since I withheld the three-digit "security code" - how naïve I was! Within a minute, they had pilfered £1 from my account, and just three days later, they tried to snatch £65. Thankfully, I had my wits about me and reached out to my credit card provider. They promptly cancelled my card and blocked the subsequent charge. THESE CHARACTERS ARE UNBELIEVABLY TENACIOUS! Just yesterday, I received another call from them asserting they were aware I had cancelled my previous subscription (which was for that non-existent £65) but enticingly offered a special deal at £26 if I would just provide my new card information!

I received a call from this number claiming that I'd won a £20 voucher for taking part in a survey. The thing is, I've never done any such survey! As soon as I mentioned that, the caller abruptly disconnected. I've since added this number to my block list.

A couple of weeks back, I received a call from them. I made it clear to the caller that, according to the 1991 Cold Calling Regulations, what they were doing was unlawful. I warned them that should they attempt to contact me again, I wouldn't hesitate to report them to Trading Standards and consult a solicitor.

I recently participated in a survey, and shortly after, I received a call from this number. They attempted to peddle a magazine, claiming it was free for a fortnight, but then hit you with a hefty £79.99 fee afterwards. They just wanted you to pay £1 upfront and asked for your entire card number. It’s a total scam, as you'll definitely get charged after the trial period ends!

Just got a call from someone offering me fuel vouchers and a free magazine, but they wanted me to send a quid first. They asked for my bank card number, and I told them I didn’t have my cards handy. They then suggested I ring back later. Well, I certainly won’t be picking up the phone when they call again!

I received a rather questionable phone call from this number earlier today. The chap on the other end had the audacity to ask for me by name, which I politely declined to verify. He went on about some online survey I supposedly filled out last Sunday, the 21st of September, which frankly baffled me. I firmly told him to refrain from calling this number again, and warned that if he did, I'd have no choice but to report him to the police. By that point, he had also brought up a £20 voucher, but my patience had completely waned and my response was far from civil.

I keep getting phone calls from this number, even after I made it clear that I'd not participated in any surveys. They claimed they needed a quid to send me a magazine. I have to admit, I can be a bit naive and not the sharpest tool in the shed, so I ended up sharing my bank info. Turns out, the magazine was about lesbian topics! I did receive the magazine, and luckily my daughter was there to assist me with a cancellation form, which we sent off right away. Yet, the calls haven't stopped. I'm at my wit's end, unsure of what to do next.

A chap from Wales rang me today on this number, rambling on about some survey I supposedly filled out last Tuesday - but I wasn't even in the country at that time! He also went on about sending me a fuel voucher and inquired whether I used petrol or diesel. Just typical data-harvesting scammers, if you ask me.

Indeed, much like the previous comment, a chap claiming to hail from Cardiff, a true Welshman, seemed all too familiar with Mum's cherished colour (is YOURS blue too, perchance?). After my sister turned him down, he ominously suggested he'd continue ringing. Mum’s cleverest tactic? Keeping her dentures out; it’s as if one is conversing with a surreal creature from a Lewis Carroll tale!

I received a call from a chap in Cardiff on this number, spinning the same tale that I had supposedly completed a survey for a magazine and that I needed to cough up £1. He began to elaborate on his pitch, but I quickly interrupted him, stating I had no interest whatsoever. His response was shockingly abrasive; he snapped back with, "How can you say you're not interested when you have no idea what it’s about?” He kept repeating this. I then asked him to provide a brief explanation, and he replied that it wouldn’t be quick, insisting he would call back another day, before hanging up quite rudely. If he dares to ring again, I might just ignore the call or, depending on my mood, give him a proper earful! Absolutely shocking behaviour; I am beyond irritated! Just a warning: steer clear of giving any personal information to these sorts!

I've been receiving a barrage of calls from a dodgy bunch calling themselves Tolunda, often referred to as Cyberwarzone. Their main aim? To snatch your banking information for their own gain. I received a rather unusual call from this number whilst out shopping with my mother. A lady on the line claimed that I’d won £20 worth of petrol vouchers - all I needed to do was fork out £1 for postage and packaging, and they’d send me the vouchers along with a magazine. I was wise enough not to divulge my bank information, as they were quite pushy about it. However, it’s concerning that they already have my name, address, and mobile number. I'm a bit at a loss for what steps to take next! Strangely, I can't seem to block this number on my phone either.

I received a call from this number, where a woman with a Bristol accent claimed to be from a new magazine service called "New Life." She was quite insistent about needing my card information. She mentioned that subscriptions would set me back £79.99 annually, but I could initially get a trial issue for just £1, plus a £20 voucher for petrol or diesel that would supposedly arrive within a few days. She assured me that the majority of the £1 would be donated to charity. Curiously, they took my debit card information but insisted that they didn't need the security code. According to her, they obtained my details from a recent survey I completed with another company, which I found rather unsettling since they even had my address! When I requested a physical address for their business, she provided one: New Life Magazine, Pembroke House, Spring Meadow Business Park, Rumney CF3 2ES, with a contact number of 0800 669480. However, when I tried that number, it was unobtainable. I promptly contacted my bank to clarify the situation, and they reassured me that no payments had been processed, despite her claims to the contrary during our phone call. The bank explained that without the security code, they couldn’t have made any transactions, leading me to believe this might have just been a ploy to nab my card details. I took the precaution of cancelling my card after that alarming encounter.

Today, I received a rather peculiar call from a lady named Maria representing Sapphire. She had previously rung me up two times yesterday and once the day before, each time with the same offer. Apparently, I was in line for a £20 petrol voucher and a complimentary magazine, all purportedly in aid of cancer charities-a rather insensitive approach, considering I work with CRUK. Having done some digging into Sapphire after they left a message for my mum, I quickly realised this was all a ruse. I decided to leave Maria rambling on the line, and once she eventually concluded the call, I hung up. Almost immediately, they tried calling again, but I simply picked up the phone and set it back down without engaging. One can only hope they eventually tire of this charade. If they persist, I know that social media is a powerful tool for spreading the word in no time.
