I’ve just received a very similar voicemail urging me to call 0844 5560055. Instead, I opted to reach out to Barclays directly, seeing as I’m one of their customers, and they confirmed that there’s absolutely no association with that number, nor any reason for them to get in touch with me. I’m not part of any of their marketing schemes, so it raised a few eyebrows. The gentleman I spoke to mentioned that the number is probably linked to some dodgy activity, with the aim of tricking unsuspecting folks into sharing their bank details, which the fraudsters then use to indulge in a bit of shopping with your cash. Best to steer clear of it!

In addition to Annie's earlier outburst, it seems the incessant calls just won't let up. A rather clever tactic might be to keep the callers engaged for as long as possible while tossing around random numbers and causing a bit of confusion. We've been bombarded with daily calls for almost an entire week, and they're always at the most bothersome hours-either exceedingly early or rather late in the day. We're now faced with the dilemma of either changing our number completely or simply silencing the phone. Whichever route we take, it feels like they're getting the better of us. Barclays really ought to take action on this matter urgently!

I received a call from someone claiming to represent Barclaycard, requesting details about my debit card due to a missed payment. Honestly, the bloke couldn't string a coherent sentence together! This month, we've received a couple of voice messages on our office phone advising us to call 0844 5560055. Naturally, we returned the call, only to be met by an automated message introducing a new system for Barclaycard. The system then prompted us to input a 16-digit card number, which left us quite puzzled because neither of us possesses a Barclaycard. It's rather suspicious, isn't it?

We've repeatedly clarified that we don't possess a Barclaycard, yet the calls and messages persist relentlessly. 08453007027 has been ringing us at least twice a day. When we finally answered yesterday, the caller claimed we were overdue on payments, which is absolutely untrue. Strangely, they've got hold of our previous address despite us informing Barclaycard about our move. We've asked Barclaycard to ensure all correspondence goes to our new address, yet these folks continue to send things to the old one. We're convinced this isn't a legitimate call from Barclaycard, and we’ve asked to be removed from their mailing list. Just this afternoon, we received yet another call from them. From now on, we’ve decided to just ignore any further calls.
