Avoid calling Sky’s premium line from your mobile - ended up paying £17!! I rang them up to complain and made it clear how annoyed I was about the charges. They ended up giving me a £15 Tesco gift card plus two months of free Sky Ultimate On-Demand, which includes Netflix and box sets worth about £12 each month. So by just speaking up, I got £37 back overall. I’d say it’s worth having a go yourself!

I called what I thought was Sky, but actually it wasn't their official number! It’s some kind of premium rate call service that links you to Sky but is actually run by a different company who charges you extra. The website for that number has disappeared now. Sky ended up giving me a credit on my bill as a goodwill gesture, even though it wasn’t really their fault.

I rang Sky to sort out my TV subscription because I lost my job and couldn’t keep up with the payments. They kept bouncing me around different departments, and I was on the phone for nearly two hours. At no moment did they warn me that calling them would be so pricey. Now I’ve got an extra £50 stuck on my phone bill, which is the last thing I need right now. Honestly, it’s awful - this just doubles what I owe and ends up costing more than I spend on food each week! Feeling really down about it all.

Got a call from this number about rejoining Sky, and they mentioned a price of £11.51. Then, barely a month later, I get told they're hiking up my package by £5 altogether. Their terms say they can raise prices whenever they fancy, but I wasn't aware they actually do this, basically letting months go by before slapping on the extra cost. I'm pretty sure they pull this on everyone locked into an 18-month contract. The annoying part is I don’t have many other choices anyway, except maybe now.TV - which is part of their lot - but that’s rubbish, I tried it for nearly two years.
