I received a call from someone purporting to be from HMRC, insisting that I had a warrant out for tax evasion. Upon inquiring about his location, he provided a London address and post code. Curious, I decided to verify this with Royal Mail and, lo and behold, it was indeed an HMRC address. However, when I attempted to reach HMRC directly, I found myself unable to connect. Quite the puzzling situation!
