They just keep ringing and its not fair at all, I'm waiting on an important call about a liver transplant and have to keep picking up these annoying calls.

08433373950 - keeps ringing non-stop. I’ve had enough and blocked it now. I recently set up a call blocker through BT. Planning to block all numbers I don’t recognise. Even stopped international calls, so they can’t bother me anymore.

I keep receiving an automated message regarding boilers from the number 08443373950, which rings me nearly every day. If I don't answer, then 01244470967 often dials me soon after. I've decided to block both of these numbers for good measure. As I'm registered with the TPS, I plan to report them to the ICO soon. 08443373950 Keep getting silent rings from this number, no idea who it is. It’s a blocked caller too, been getting loads of them lately. Think I might have to get a new phone coz my block list is already full with over 100 numbers.

I get calls from this number quite often, maybe a few times every week. It’s always some automated message about boilers and government funding. Proper annoying, it is!

Keeps ringing me up, saying they’ve got government grants for boiler replacements - complete con. They keep calling my home number even though I’ve been on the TPS list for more than four years! Only my mates and family have this number, so has BT gone and sold it or summat? I tried to chat with the company but they just hung up when I asked why they refuse to take my number off their list after me asking loads of times this past year. They’re total scammers and really ought to be shut down.

They keep ringing me up, claiming there’s some government scheme to swap out old boilers - absolute rip off. I’ve been on the TPS list for more than 4 years yet they still dial my home number! Only close mates and family have this number, so did BT sell it or something? When I called the company to ask why they won’t take my number off their list despite me asking loads of times over the last year, they just cut me off. These scammers are a joke and seriously need to be shut down.

Got a call from 08443373950 about a boiler upgrade. Messed about with them, said I was dead keen and they’re turning up tomorrow. But here’s the kicker... gave them the name Mrs Luci Fer (like Lucifer) and the address of the nearby cemetery! You can also opt out through BT, which lets you block numbers like this.

I've been bombarded with calls from this number repeatedly. Even after dialling 9 in an attempt to stop them, the calls just keep on coming. Today, I took the plunge and hit 2, informing the Boiler Helpline that I was thoroughly fed up and requested to be removed from their list. The cheek of it-I was just hung up on!

This is just another part of the dodgy green energy plan tied in with the EU. The energy bills are already sky high, now they want us to replace our boilers too. Can't wait for us to leave the EU and get rid of this nonsense.

It seems I've encountered a rather dubious marketing ploy related to boiler grants, masquerading as if it were affiliated with the government. What a load of nonsense! While it’s true the government does offer certain grants, these chaps are simply out to line their own pockets. They’re using a string of phone numbers from 08443373950 to 08443373977. Whatever you do, steer clear of calling them back-those numbers are premium rate, and it’s just a trap (trust me, this is all quite dodgy). The police, sadly, are stretched thin and can't assist. One can only wish for the day these con artists fade into obscurity, just like those long-gone dinosaurs!

I receive frequent calls regarding some scheme for boiler replacements. As a matter of principle, I make it a point to report these nuisance calls to the ICO. With enough folks chiming in, hopefully, the callers will face a substantial fine as a wake-up call!

Keep getting calls non-stop about replacing my boiler - no way to stop them calling back. Ended up pretending I was interested just so I could tell them to stop and then hang up. If I knew their address, I’d send them a bit of roof tile with a cheap stamp on it, so the post office hits them with a big charge. Maybe if they get a “with compliments” note, it might finally sink in!

I'm utterly fed up with these relentless nuisances! There's no option to opt-out, and it’s driving me round the bend. Honestly, the thought of taking a sledgehammer to their switchboard is quite tempting!

Got a recorded voicemail about replacing a boiler. They’ve called a few times now. We’re registered with TPS, but it doesn’t seem to stop them. Don’t bother calling back, they charge a premium rate on those calls. Seems like that’s how they’re earning their money.

I picked up when this number rang and pressed 2 to reach an agent. A woman named Melissa answered, but when I expressed my frustration about receiving three or four calls daily, she simply ended the call. My suggestion? Avoid answering altogether, and steer clear of pressing 9 - it’s pointless anyway.

Annoying prerecorded call again about boilers. I hit "2" this time to speak to someone, managed to get a person and told them to take me off their list and that they’re scammers. Thinking about messing with them a bit, ask for quotes and have them convince me my almost brand new 2 year old boiler needs replacing - just to totally waste their time.

I'm fed up receiving calls from this number, along with others mentioned before. Hitting 9 doesn't seem to help, nor does being signed up to a call-blocking service. It's high time we put an end to all types of unsolicited calls; they should be banned outright!

I’ve had enough of getting calls from this number and loads of others. I’m not interested in them or whatever they’re selling. I’ve got a so-called call blocker but it’s pretty useless, and I’ve signed up with a call-blocking site as well, but that’s no good either. At this point, I’m thinking of just getting rid of my phone completely! Isn’t there anything that can be done about these annoying cowboys? It’s basically harassment and should propery be against the law.

I picked up the phone, but they hung up straight away. Oddly enough, this number is just one digit off from another that has been ringing me incessantly since 7th June. They’ve tried to contact me seven times now, each time blabbering on about some free energy assessment and suggesting I might be eligible for a complimentary boiler - with a deadline for assessment supposedly looming at the end of 2017. I've already flagged this with the ICO. This time, I’m also planning to alert Ofcom since these calls have been nothing short of silent disruptions. The recorded messages are identical, featuring a smooth, professional voice yet marred by the chaotic backdrop of a call centre - it’s all very suspicious. I'm beginning to believe it’s the same firm that’s been pestering me since 26th April, changing their number after four calls, with the last one arriving on 6th June. Quite the nuisance, really!

They ring me every single day, even after I’ve read all the reviews, and I’m dead set on not picking up. I’m curious if they’ll just stop at some point. Sometimes the number ends in 3970, other times it’s 3950, but I reckon it’s the same lot. I’ve heard if you do answer, they might sell your number on to other places and then you get bombarded even more. So yeah, I just don’t bother. I get my phone buzzing loads each day, ignore it, and then look the number up online. If it’s someone I’m waiting to hear from, I’ll ring them back myself.

I already pressed 9 to stop the calls but they keep ringing anyway. When you try to speak, they send you to an 0844 number - total scam. They claim they’re from the Boiler Helpline, but if you say anything about complaining, they just hang up. Like others have said, best to report it to the ICO, their website is easy to find and it doesn’t take much time.

I let the call go unanswered since the number was unfamiliar to me. Out of sheer curiosity and a bit of irritation, I decided to call it back afterwards, but it didn’t even start ringing! I’ve reached out to the appropriate "watchdog" organisation, but they’ve proven to be utterly useless. They claimed there’s nothing they can do unless they can identify the caller. It’s frustrating, as I told them that they’re completely ineffectual!

Just a heads up - it’s the caller who should show proof of who they are, not the one who picks up the phone.

So apparently my boiler that's only 6 months old is now considered outdated and not efficient enough, so I’m supposed to buy a new one. Yeah, as if that’s believable.

As soon as I picked up, the call ended right away.

This is right, the TPS only handles actual live sales calls. For these recorded ones, you should report them to the ICO.

Sick of these constant calls. I've told them to stop contacting me loads of times already.

Boiler replacement scam. Just a heads up - avoid reporting to the TPS but definitely report to the ICO. It's the number of complaints that kickstart investigations and eventually get these scammers penalised.

They rang me twice today on this same number even though I pressed "9" to stop any more calls after the first one. These lot have been calling me loads of times before on a number that was just a bit different. Honestly, someone needs to sort these people out.

I got a call about some 'Government Boiler Replacement Scheme' which is obviously a scam. Complaining to the TPS is pointless. Honestly, we should be moaning about the TPS instead of these scammers.

Got a call about a free boiler deal. They said press 9 to stop calls. Even after pressing 9 every time, they still ring me once daily. Really annoying!

I've received numerous calls from this number and, to be honest, I don't ever pick up anymore since it shows as an International call. I even have an answering machine, yet they never bother to leave a message! What truly irritates me is the fact that my number is supposed to be unlisted, and I'm signed up with the Telephone Preference Service. It’s all rather frustrating!

What an utter farce it is to keep hitting 9. The one time you do get a person on the line, they're downright rude! Is there not a way to simply block this number?
10 years
I've had 3 calls from this firm over the past few days. They seem to dodge the TPS rules since it's an automated dial. The TPS states that complaints must relate to a live, unsolicited marketing call where you actually talked to someone pushing their products or services. If you press a button to speak to a person, I guess it counts as accepting the call. Maybe our frustration should be aimed more at the TPS for not including these robo-call companies on their block list.

I've been receiving calls from this number on a daily basis, and at times, they even ring me up twice in one day. It's honestly becoming quite vexing! One could certainly argue that this borders on harassment!

08443373950 called me but I missed it. I did 1471 to check the number and called back from my BT landline but it was always busy. I then tried calling it on Skype but the number wouldn’t connect.

Same as everyone else. Before, I tried pressing 9 but nothing happened. This time I pressed 2 and they claimed to be the 'Boiler Help Line' from Durham. I’m on the TPS too, for more than a year now. My number was reassigned to me, and I reckon the old owner must’ve signed up for loads of benefit deals, which is how they got hold of it. Proper frustrating! I’ve asked them to take me off their list - fingers crossed they actually do.

I seem to receive this phone call on a daily basis. It’s always some pre-recorded spiel about a government-funded boiler replacement scheme. I've lost count of how many times I've pressed 9 in an attempt to opt out, yet it never seems to make a difference. Quite frustrating, really!

It seems scammers grab huge batches of phone numbers, making it impossible for anyone to constantly block them all. Wouldn’t it be brilliant if there was a phone that lets you set up a trusted list - friends, family, work - and only those calls get through with a normal ring? All the other calls would either be sent straight to a blocked message or maybe have a unique ringtone so you know to ignore them.

I just received a call from this number a short while ago. It went straight to my voicemail and the caller ended the call without leaving any message. After seeing what others have said here, I’m definitely not rushing to call back - looks like it’s just scammers. What’s really frustrating is that I’m signed up with the TPS, but it doesn’t seem to stop these nuisance calls at all. From what I’ve seen, the TPS is pretty much useless, like a chocolate teapot. It’s disappointing, but that’s the reality.

This number rings me up loads, sometimes like 3 or 4 times each day. I don’t even own a boiler! I’m on the TPS list as well and my phone shows who’s calling, so I just don’t pick up. Still, it’s really annoying having to keep an eye on the phone every time it buzzes. Feels like straight-up harassment.

This number keeps calling me all the time, it's some marketing line pushing every scam you can imagine. I'm signed up with the TPS too, but they don't take action on calls with pre-recorded messages. I looked into it and if you get an automated call from this or any other number, you can report it straight to the ICO here: https://ico.org.uk/concerns/ If enough of us report these, maybe the calls will stop eventually.

Got a call from this number earlier today, just back from hospital and still feeling knackered so didn’t bother answering. When I was fully awake later, I looked up the number and had no clue who it was. Did my usual Google check for unknown numbers. Glad I did and didn’t pick up when I was out of it. These annoying calls are everywhere, even being on the TPS and having an ex-directory number doesn’t stop some cheeky lot from trying. If it was about the boiler, I’d have just passed them onto our housing association since they handle all the boiler servicing anyway!!

This number called me, but I don't pick up unless I see it in my contacts. If it really mattered, they’d leave a proper voicemail. Usually it’s just annoying callers, so no harm done. I do get what the guy said about having a good call blocking setup, though not everyone can afford the pricier versions.
