However, callers consistently report extremely high call charges - often several pounds for just a few minutes - with costs sometimes exceeding £20. I can’t believe DHL charge you 65p per minute just to ring their customer support about a delivery. They’ve already taken the money for the package, so why do they make it so expensive to get help? Totally ridiculous.

Just checked my O2 statement and was stunned to see charges from these numbers when I never dialled them. Apparently, they’re premium rate and you get stung £7 per minute even if it rings out and goes to voicemail. To avoid this, I signed up on TPSonline.org.uk which blocks these calls, and O2 have also kindly set a spending limit to protect you. Watch out for this kind of thing, it can catch you off guard!

I posted some Christmas gifts from Nottinghamshire to Kent, and when they arrived, every box had been torn open then taped back up with this ugly red and yellow tape. It seems DHL treats all parcels like they're going on a plane, even within the same country, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere on their site! The presents ended up completely wrecked. Plus, when I rang this number to complain, I got charged a ridiculous amount for the call. Honestly, avoid DHL if you can - they’re terrible!

Got a letter saying I owed money for a parcel. The letter had no official company letterhead, and oddly enough, it didn’t have my name or address on it. The envelope had a normal stamp instead of the usual franking you’d expect from a legit company. The letter was even handwritten - seriously, would a proper business do that? It asked me to ring 0344 209 0102 and 0844 248 0844, but both numbers come up as scams on here. Honestly, stay well away from these sorts of calls or letters, or you’ll just end up losing cash. This kind of scam is DEADLY and should be avoided at all costs.

I got charged £13.40 just for DHL to pick up my Starlink parcel! The call was awful - I spent nearly 12 minutes stuck on hold, and they kept sending me to the wrong department. Honestly, save yourself the hassle and sort it out online instead of bothering to ring them.

What a bloody rip-off from DHL! Just wanted to ring up customer support to get the address of the local depot and ended up getting charged crazy amounts. Their shipping costs already sky-high and then they go and add phone call fees on top. Proper greedy setup. I think I’ll stick with UPS from now on, this feels like they’re taking advantage of ordinary folks trying to get by. No surprise Germany’s far better off than the UK with companies like this running the show.

Had a look at my phone bill and saw a charge of £20.99 listed as out of contract fees - seems it’s for calls to this number. I don’t really recall making those calls, maybe it was to check on a delivery or something. Thought id give others a heads up in case they’re not aware how pricey calls like this can be.

I got a call from DHL saying they'd attempted a delivery. They had, but it was to the wrong address. We rang them back afterwards to try and fix things, but it didn’t get us anywhere. The phone charges were ridiculous, and we only realised after the BT bill arrived. Won't be putting ourselves through that again. Looking back, the friendly young woman from DHL mentioned she couldn't assist any further... maybe she was trying to keep us out of trouble?

Good evening! I wanted to share my experience regarding a scam I've encountered. I received a message about a delivery from DHL, but I haven't ordered anything from them at all, and it seems to be an overseas number. They want me to pay for the parcel via PayPal. I've seen on the telly that this is definitely a scam. Please, don't respond to their email; just delete it and block them immediately!

Just a heads up, DO NOT ring 08442480844 for DHL Customer Service. I’m with BT and ended up with a massive bill, over £10 for just a 34 minute call. And to top it off, DHL didn’t actually fix my issue. Instead, they kept pushing me to buy some business service for a personal delivery that was way more expensive. Honestly, what a total waste of time, energy and cash.

Allegedly the Customer Service for DHL-though it’s probably just a run-of-the-mill call centre. I attempted to send a parcel and made no headway whatsoever. They advised me to ring 08442480844, which is supposedly their customer service line. Absolute waste of time, energy, and cash. I ended up shelling out over £10 for a 34-minute phone conversation, only to find that my package was still not dispatched nor delivered! I’d strongly advise against using their services; it seems all they’re after is to siphon off your hard-earned cash. If you can manage your way through the DHL website, you’ll find the assistance you require at half the cost that their so-called ‘service centre’ wishes to extract from you. Consider this a cautionary tale-stay savvy and vigilant!

I was waiting for a call about customs fees from DHL, so I rang them back. I used saynoto0870 to find an 0344 number to avoid high call costs. They didn’t accept payment over the phone but asked for my email to send a link for online payment. The link took me to a secure dhl.com page.

DHL are an absolute joke! Charging 65p a minute just to find out where my parcel is after they failed to deliver on time. Feels like a proper cash grab to me. Really frustrated with them.

This number shows up as DHL but be careful because some scammers from China use it to trick people into thinking it's DHL calling. They're just lowlife thieves trying to take your money.

I’ve just had a shocking experience trying to track my parcel with DHL. The first call set me back a whopping £8.04 for a measly 78p charge, and then, just eight minutes later, I had to fork out another £4.69 for an even shorter conversation that cost me 43p! This is daylight robbery. I’m definitely not calling them again and will be seeking out another courier in the future. It’s just pure exploitation, if you ask me.

I called this number two times, but my Vodafone bill shows no time at all was logged on either call. Yet, I’ve still been billed £7.27 for those attempts. Is this even lawful?

I can confirm that this number is genuinely linked to DHL. It's probably regarding some customs duty or perhaps a delivery confirmation. Just a heads-up, they do bill for the phone call, so keep that in mind!

This so-called "non-geographic" number is really a premium rate line, and it's best to steer clear of it.

I ignored the call from this number. They left a voicemail saying they were with DHL and it was my final opportunity to collect a package. Afterwards, they spoke in a language I couldn’t recognise.

I chose not to pick up when this number rang me. They dropped a voicemail claiming to be DHL and said it was my final opportunity to collect a package. After that, they started speaking in a language I couldn’t make out.

My phone showed it was DHL Express calling but when I checked the voicemail, it sounded like someone speaking a Chinese or similar language, so I think they faked the number.

Got a call from 0844 248 0844 with some Chinese voice message, I just picked up and hung up straight away, then blocked the number. But seems like they’re switching numbers cause now they’ve rung from somewhere else and i blocked that one too. Feels like a never ending game. Hard to fight against hidden callers… unless you actually manage to track them down.

I received a call from a number listed as DHL EXPRESS, although it’s not one I recognise. Given the surge of parcel scams these days, I chose not to respond. They did leave a voicemail, but there was some background noise that seemed to be Mandarin or Chinese-though I can’t say for certain. One thing's for sure, it definitely doesn’t seem like the genuine article from DHL Express.

I decided to investigate this number since it was the sole charge on my statement, which is quite unusual as all my other calls are bundled. At least I noticed my rate was comparatively low-just 49p for more than eight minutes! I'm in agreement that it was a call related to a DHL collection.

DHL completely failed to show up at the scheduled times on two separate occasions. I've also racked up phone costs of almost £11.00 attempting to sort this mess out. Absolutely dreadful service!

DHL called me for a price estimate, and I was stuck on the line for 13 minutes, ending up with a bill of £9.55. Ridiculous! I won’t be using or calling them anymore. Plus, their quote to move 16 office chairs from London to Glasgow was a whopping £3559.84. Ridiculous!

Cant quite recall all the details but I believe I had a similar thing happen like others are saying. A 14 minute call ended up costing me more than £9. It feels like the government agency supposed to regulate telecoms is just letting these scams carry on.

This is definitely a genuine DHL number, not a scam. I need to call this number to arrange parcel pickups for the company I work for. These calls can often run up to £5 or more on a UK mobile since it takes about 20 to 30 mins to sort out the booking, but after the call, a DHL courier typically comes by within a few hours.

DHL’s archaic attitude? Next up is OFCOM... see the link below. A line has certainly been crossed here... is this what modern business looks like, or are we witnessing some rather poor practices that ought to be swiftly addressed? It’s evident that DHL doesn’t seem to value their customers if they're treating them this way. I can assure you, I will think twice before engaging with this company again... or at least until every one of their patrons receives compensation and they amend their questionable billing practices. https://www.ofcom.org.uk/complaints/complain-about-phones-or-internet-services/unwanted-calls-and-messages

This is DHL customer support. It's not harmful or anything, but it is a premium rate number that can charge you about 60-70p a minute on your mobile, which seems pretty unfair if it's DHL's mistake. Usually, calls to 087x numbers (except 0870) don’t come out of your free minutes on mobiles, whereas 03x numbers do. You can ring DHL on 0344 248 0012 instead (big thanks to [#]saynoto0870[###] for sharing this number) which should be way cheaper, or maybe even free if your mobile plan covers it - though that depends on your phone provider.

Got a call from DHL’s "customer support" and then spot a random £28 added to my Three phone bill for calling about my parcel. Brilliant plan - lose the parcel, then charge folks for ringing in to sort it out, and rake in the cash. Bit cheeky if you ask me. Once bitten, twice shy. Definitely not happening again.

I completely echo what others have mentioned - it feels like a con! On two separate occasions, DHL has insisted they tried to deliver a parcel when we were actually at home. I recently called this number and discovered that I've been hit with a hefty premium charge, which is absolutely ridiculous, considering I’m on an unlimited call and data plan. It's baffling! They really ought to rectify this situation and refund all the money they've taken from unsuspecting customers like myself. It feels rather unfair!

Watch out for the DHL delivery number. I called to ask about sending a few parcels and the prices. The call lasted about 35 minutes and I got charged £10.79 (exc VAT)!!! This number is for DHL delivery folks. Just so you know before you ring, they charge a crazy high rate that doesn't count towards your mobile plan. Called for 4 minutes and was hit with £2.82!
