I received a curious phone call from someone claiming to possess details regarding an incident in which my vehicle, registered to my old address (which I haven't called home in over a year), was involved. The rather unsettling part is that I'm not even behind the wheel these days, a fact I made perfectly clear to them. They then probed if perhaps someone else living at that location could be the culprit, presumably fishing for a last-ditch effort to extract some cash from me. Naturally, I firmly said no. Honestly, I find myself replying to these calls in the hope that my firm refusals get logged in their records, and perhaps my details might be removed. Yet, it seems I'm bombarded incessantly with these irritating calls and texts, whether regarding phantom accidents or PPI claims. I'm now resorting to saving all these nuisance numbers under a "SPAM" label and assigning them a distinctive ringtone-just so I can swiftly identify when a familiar pest is trying their luck again.

They ventured to ask if perhaps someone else residing at that address might have been the driver, seemingly fishing for a last-ditch opportunity to rake in some cash, but I firmly stated that was not the case. I find myself responding to these queries only in the hope that my "no” responses somehow get logged and remove my information from their dreadful database. It's endless-numerous unsolicited calls and texts bombard me daily, whether it’s about supposed accidents or PPI claims. I've taken to saving each of these numbers under a "SPAM" label on my phone and even assigned them a distinct ringtone so I can easily tell when it's a repeat nuisance. The caller in question was AMS.

I received a rather unexpected phone call out of the blue.

Just received a message from Motor Assistance UK saying I was due some compensation related to an accident. However, it was my wife who was involved in the incident, not me. Strangely, they didn’t even seem to know her name or our vehicle's registration number! Quite baffling, really.

As per OFCOM's findings, this number isn't a legitimate one from the United Kingdom.

I received a call from Motor Assistance UK regarding a car accident I definitely didn’t have. The person on the other end had a distinct Liverpool accent. Quite odd, to say the least!
