Yesterday evening, around 6pm, I received a rather disconcerting phone call from a firm called Albany Assured. To my surprise, she rattled off my name, address, and home phone number like it was nothing! She claimed it was regarding a supposed accident I’d been part of recently, stating they were a legal expense recovery team and related to some third party. Apparently, she’d sourced my information from the Motor Insurance Bureau. I had to inform her that I hadn’t been involved in any accidents lately, which led her to suggest it might have been something from the past two and a half years. I expressed my concerns, as I couldn’t recall any mishaps with my vehicle whatsoever. Her reply was that perhaps my car’s details had been inaccurately noted and that this might simply be a case of mistaken identity. She promised to ring back today at 6pm with further information. Naturally, I waited, but no call came! She did provide her name, and after checking via 1471, I discovered it was a 'local' number. I feel much better now that I looked up her name and realised this whole situation was nonsense! I received a call from someone who said they were referred to me by my insurance company. I asked them which insurance company they were referring to, and they replied vaguely, saying it was from the one owned by Royal Bank of Scotland, among other unclear details. They insisted that I had been involved in an accident within the past two years. When I denied their claims, they abruptly ended the call. Their behavior was extremely impolite and misleading.

When I was asked if I had been in an accident within the past two years, I inquired about the specific information they had on their screens. However, they informed me that the displayed details were all they retained. Furthermore, they claimed that the call was breaking up and abruptly ended it. It is important to note that I have never been involved in any accidents.

I received a call inquiring about any accidents I may have had in the past few years. I asked the caller twice what they were trying to sell me, but they insisted they were not selling anything and repeated their question. Frustrated, I asked them what they wanted and then ended the call. However, just one minute later, the caller rang again, used foul language towards me, and abruptly ended the call.

Today, on the 3rd of December 2013, at 15:49pm, I received yet another call from them. It seems like no matter what actions I take, they continue to contact me every couple of months. In response, I have chosen to divert their number to the SPAM folder through my O2 provider, as it has become evident that they are attempting to deceive me.
