Nearly every day, I get one or two calls from this automated recording. It's quite annoying.

I got an Android and it automatically blocks those numbers, so I usually don’t even bother answering them. Saves me the headache of dealing with random calls all the time.

Got a call about 9.30 this morning, it was a recorded voice telling me that I didn’t have a prepaid funeral plan. Makes me wonder, is this like the new PPI thing or what?

If you pick up this number, be ready for a load of rubbish about PPI claims, it’s just non stop nonsense. Better off not bothering with it at all.

Was on my way home from dropping the kids at school around 9 in the morning when my phone rang. I had to stop the car to answer and it immediately switched to a robotic voice claiming I had money waiting in some life insurance policy. Thing is, I don’t have any life insurance at all. I recently changed my phone number because of a nasty ex, so I’m guessing someone linked to him might have passed my number to spammers or something. The number that called was 0843 980 0144. Proper annoying!

I usually just hang up on any number I don’t know now and block them straight away. Had too many dodgy calls before.

Got a robocall from this number telling me to "unlock funds in your pension". It was an automated voice, didn’t say who they were.

Woke up today to another bloody call at 9am. Honestly, I'm fed up with these cold callers ringing me like 10 times every day. I've blocked every single number they use, but they just keep coming. PPI stuff again, annoying as hell!

This number’s been bugging me for ages now. Usually, I just hang up, but today I thought, sod it, I’ll deal with it. After enduring that annoying recorded spiel, I hit ‘5’ to get through to someone live. Girded myself for a proper rant, but to my surprise, I got put through to a bloke who was pretty decent, which chilled me out a bit. Figured I’d be cut off straight away, but nah, I asked him what company he was with and where they were based. He said ‘SMS Legal’ out of Ammanford in Wales, then rattled on about how “all major UK banks use this system” blah blah - couldn’t be bothered with all that malarkey. Funny enough, he actually asked if I wanted them to take my details off their list, so we’ll see if they actually do it or just find some clever excuse. These companies really wind me up to no end. This number 08439800144 has been ringing me non stop, drives me mad! Everytime you press 9 they just swap the last 3 numbers around. I’ve had loads from them like 633, 133, 129, 139, 150, 1110, 118, 147, 1120, 1124, 107 just since 26/07/2015 alone. I’ve been jotting them down since 2014. If I could work out who they actually are, I’d send them a bill for all the hassle - maybe if everyone did that, they’d finally stop.

I’ve hit 9 loads of times but they just keep calling nonstop, it’s really starting to annoy me now.

This number 08439800144 has just given my elderly 85 year old mum a right fright. The caller mentioned she was “hard to get hold of” and because I’m on hospital treatment at the moment, she thought it was about me, which caused her loads of stress. I’ve already told her to ignore calls on my home phone because I’m constantly getting PPI and other spam calls. They rang again about 20 minutes later and when I answered, there was total silence. Having worked in a call centre handling complaints, I know exactly how these auto-diallers work. Simply asking to be taken off their list isn’t enough - you have to email the main call centre to get your number removed from all their cold call databases. I’m doing that now but it takes around 6 weeks to fully stop most of these calls. The robocalls really grind my gears the most - you can’t do a thing about those. Like someone else here suggested, try pressing 9 to reach a real person and complain. This number rings my work phone around 3 to 8 times every week - it’s one of those PPI cold call scams. If you press 3 to chat with someone, they just cut the call off as soon as you ask them to take your number off their list. Honestly, they hate it when you waste their time by pretending to be interested for like half an hour! Perfect way to spend your lunch break! Loads of times they've called me about PPI and I was actually curious what PPI meant this time. But as soon as I asked, the lady started asking for my personal info and even my current bank details, which didn’t seem to have anything to do with PPI? It made me feel uneasy - why would they need my bank info for that?

Got loads of ppi scam calls again, and the “press nine to opt out” thing is a waste of time - they just won't stop ringing. I've had to block the number now.
