It’s just one of them promo calls. What I do is open the phone settings, scroll until I find the block list and chuck their number in there. They can still ring off, but my phone doesn’t buzz and it just hangs up. Easy peasy. I do the same with any annoying calls. You can check online, loads of folks say the same. If you’re fed up, that’s the best way to sort it, no hassle!

Yet another number saying it's from HSBC, Lloyds or Barclays. This is the fourth different one I've had. Seems like they're just trying numbers at random since loads of folks getting these annoying calls haven’t shared their number anywhere. I even wonder if the mobile companies’ databases have been compromised or something?

We have a mobile number that we've set aside solely for emergencies to do with our disabled daughter, and it’s only meant to be shared between two people. Somehow, a company or person has got hold of it and keeps ringing us, causing loads of stress. It's really upsetting, and honestly, I think folks who do this sort of thing should be made to pay big fines or even thrown in jail.

This same number kept ringing me multiple times, but I never picked up. I'm curious if anyone else here has ever entered those online competitions like "win an iPhone," an iPod, or a £1000 gift card or something similar? I once submitted one of those forms that randomly appeared, and ever since, calls from this number and some "DTD European Services" (02073451299) have been constantly coming through. They're always trying to sell EuroMillions tickets or some sort of scheme, clearly just after your money.

I've had a few calls from this number claiming to be from Lloyds Bank. When I questioned them, they just hung up on me - sounded like they had an accent. The thing that puzzles me the most is that my number has been ex-directory since 1975 or something like that. So how on earth did they manage to get hold of my number? It’s so irritating, especially on my landline as well. I’m almost tempted to ditch both phones, but I kind of need them. Total con. I tried reporting this to OFCOM, but they seemed completely uninterested. They claim to look out for us consumers, but honestly, they’re just on the industry’s payroll, who have the money to strong-arm them and influence the government.
