I just had this number ring me, didn’t pick up and went straight to blocking it on my iPhone. If you’re not sure how to block a number, just tap the little "i" icon next to the caller ID in blue, scroll down till you see "block this caller", then block it. After that, you can make a new contact called something like “Block list” and add all these annoying numbers there. Just make sure you block them before putting them in your list!

About three hours back, I got a call from this number on my mobile but decided not to pick up when I saw it started with 08, which to me usually spells scam. I fell victim to an online con back in December linked to Spark Whitening and BellaAtHome. They’re these so-called companies giving out "free" teeth whitening kits that actually arrive, but in the tiny print hardly anyone reads, you allow them to use your bank, personal and contact info however they like. Since then, I’ve been bombarded with loads of spam calls and emails on both my mobile and landline. Lately, I’ve also noticed a new scam from firms promising to help claim back money from banks who tricked people into paying for certain package deals. For anyone who doesn’t have one, I’d suggest downloading Truecaller and blocking suspicious numbers to avoid this nonsense.
