I recently received a rather dodgy call from someone claiming to be from my bank, suggesting they could reimburse me for some interest that I apparently lost on my accounts. It all felt quite suspicious-definitely not something they would usually do!

I chose not to pick up the call, yet when I dialled 1471, I could still hear someone chatting away on the other end. It's the second time this has occurred before the line finally went silent. How on earth are these individuals permitted to persist with such bothersome behaviour?
