Received a jingle from this number earlier. Here’s a little nugget of advice! Consider saving a contact titled SPAM CALLS PPI and SPAM TEXTS PPI in your phone. Although it won’t completely eliminate those pesky ‘Unknown’ calls, it will certainly let you compile a growing list of those annoying cold callers you’d rather ignore. It’s done wonders for me today, I managed to avoid picking up the phone three times! - Caller: Unknown

I've been bombarded with calls from this number daily since the start of February. Eventually, I had enough and blocked them on my iPhone. I quite enjoy the thought of toying with them for a bit before telling them where to shove it. Perhaps we could go a step further-why not sign up with one of these firms and give them the other company's number? Just imagine if we could send them all off to a deserted island and give it a jolly good nuke!

Received a call from this number today. I let it go to voicemail, but those idiots didn’t leave any message. I called back out of curiosity, and the moment I heard that ridiculous PPI nonsense, I cut the line. Cheers to the person who mentioned the iPhone’s number blocking feature; I had no idea that was an option on my new device! I'm quite keen to uncover how they managed to get hold of my number. Received a rather perplexing call regarding PPI, despite the fact that I've never taken out a loan in my life. The bloke on the other end insisted on knowing my name, which I found quite absurd, as he ought to have had that info himself. When I pointed out that he seemed to have a rather amusing hobby of harassing folks with these nonsense calls, he chuckled away as if it was all a jolly game to him. So, I firmly requested to be removed from his list, stating I was baffled as to why I even found myself on it in the first place. Predictably, he carried on laughing, prompting me to call him out and label him a bit of a numpty before hanging up. - Caller ID: 0843 724 0461

I just received another pesky call from one of those 0843 numbers, but as is my usual practice, I simply let it ring. On my Android device, I’ve created a contact named "0000- Blocked" for occasions just like this. Each time these numbers ring me up, I immediately link them to that contact, which has the wonderful feature of sending all calls straight to voicemail. Over time, I've compiled a list of about 20 numbers, and it’s definitely cut down on the nuisance of unsolicited calls. While it doesn’t eliminate the bother instantly, it does mean I only have to deal with each number once! - Caller: 08437240461

I received a dodgy call today regarding PPI - it was a pre-recorded message urging me to ring back on a premium 0843 number. Trust me, don’t fall for it! It's best not to return the call, even if you feel tempted to tell them where to shove it, as it’ll only end up costing you. Plus, if you do engage, they'll mark your number as live and might even pass it along to others, particularly if you inadvertently share any personal information. Overall, they’re nothing but lowlife scammers!

I didn’t get a response from them, but when I redialled using their office's number, I received an automated message claiming it was regarding my flight status. They mentioned something about potential compensation of up to £550 if my flight had suffered any delays or cancellations over the past five years. It’s rather amusing, really; I haven’t had the financial means to jet off anywhere in the last five years - no holidays abroad for me! I'm completely frustrated with these calls. Is there a way we can urge the government to officially ban this persistent bothersome behavior? It's almost like harassment sometimes! PPI advertisements have already invaded our TVs, and it seems like most website ads I come across are for PPI as well. I highly doubt that I even need to investigate my PPI since I've never taken out a loan or paid for PPI in any form. If I ever did need assistance, I'm certain there are enough ads out there that could direct me to a company. However, I would never choose a company that feels it's acceptable to continually annoy people over the phone. Although I'm not a marketing expert, I'm fairly certain that you won't attract much business by irritating potential customers.

I just received another automated message claiming that they have been trying to reach me regarding an important message about my PPI. It seems like I receive about 3 or 4 calls per week from these individuals or similar groups. I consistently add their numbers to my reject list, yet they persist in calling me!

Had a bothersome call from this number around 8 PM yesterday, and the same nuisance struck again today. It's quite reminiscent of another number (08437240459) that persistently spammed my phone in the evenings not long ago. These sorts of numbers ought to be flagged and reported to the authorities for them to take action. Honestly, it feels like we should send out Agent Smith to deal with this lot once and for all...

I wasn't able to catch the call, and when I attempted to ring back, it didn't connect. After reading the comments above, I'm rather relieved it didn't come through.

Received a rather pesky call regarding a PPI refund; the number was 0843 724 0461, if I'm not mistaken. Just another annoying robocall that I could certainly have done without!

I seem to receive calls from this number on a regular basis. When I pick up, I hand the phone over to my toddler and let them have a little chat with whoever's on the other end. It’s quite entertaining, really! Haha! - number: 0843 724 0461

Had a ring from this number earlier. Thought I'd give them a bell back from my home phone, only to discover it was some unsolicited sales pitch about a flight delay - quite amusing, considering I haven’t been on a plane in ages! They mentioned something about claiming compensation for a flight delay I supposedly had before. What a cheek! Cold caller contacting from 08437240461, if anyone's interested.

Looks like it’s my turn today! This number was meant to be unlisted - feels as though someone is getting their hands on information they really ought to keep to themselves. I've just gone ahead and blocked it on my iPhone! Caller ID shows: 08437240461.

Another one of those pesky cold calls! It's about time Kaspersky adds this number to their blocklist. The caller? Just comes up as unknown. Quite the nuisance, isn't it?

Yet another pesky nuisance from a PPI seller! What a blimmin' pain - these illegal calls just won’t quit, will they? It was from a PPI outfit, of course.

Avoid this number at all costs! They claim to represent the PPI refund department, but the moment you inquire about their company, they hang up. It's a male voice and the number is 08437240461. Definitely dodgy!

I attempted to reach out to you today from this number because I feel utterly lost and am sadly contemplating an end to everything. Honestly, your empathy and warmth could have been the lifeline I desperately needed to steer clear of taking those pills and downing them with vodka. - Caller: myself

When on earth will this nonsense finally come to an end? I really wonder when the government or Ofcom will muster the courage to put a stop to these clowns once and for all. It feels like we've been trapped in this merry-go-round for ages! All we ever get are empty promises about how there’s going to be a serious clampdown on PPI - yet, here we are, still waiting. Honestly, how difficult can it be? They should just track down these crooks and hold them accountable. Imprisoning the ones behind these schemes would surely put an end to it all.

I received an automated phone call regarding PPI, with options to speak to a representative by pressing 5, or to opt out by hitting 9. Naturally, I opted for 5, fully aware that declining would merely validate my number in their system. A rather cheery fellow answered the line, inquiring if I hadn’t pursued a claim due to thinking I wasn’t eligible or simply never getting around to it. I replied that, to my recollection, I’ve never held a product with PPI. And then-dead air. The call abruptly terminated. My thoughts went straight to “what a tosser.” So, I decided to ring the number again, only to be greeted by another recorded message touting the prospect of compensation-up to £500-if I’d experienced a flight delay in the past eight years (as if that’s remotely plausible). After the usual options, I pressed 5 again and was then told no one was available, and I could leave a message. No chance. Honestly, these people are absolute lowlifes. Best to block their calls entirely, or if you have a bit of spare time and want some fun, next time they ring, just feed them a load of fabricated details. Keep them engaged, make them believe they’re about to earn a massive commission on the fictitious refund from a 70k loan you supposedly took out while self-employed (eligible for a refund, of course). And just before they think they’ve got you locked in, crack up and call them a gullible muppet. Mind you, if it’s a woman on the line, just toy with them instead - women in these jobs seem to have a touch more sense. When it all goes pear-shaped, these obnoxious buggers will certainly find themselves at the front of the queue for a reckoning.

I'm wondering if I could possibly claim some money back for a flight that was delayed ages ago, like eight years! Just to add to the mix, I've never actually been on a plane in my entire life. Anyway, I just hit 9 to get rid of my info... fingers crossed that did the trick... blasted telemarketer! - number: 08437240461

Absolutely echoing the sentiments of everyone about this pesky number (08437240461)! They seem to ring me incessantly throughout the day on my mobile, and it’s infuriating. Each time I answer, I end up racking up charges. It won’t be long before I draft up an invoice detailing the cost of these calls and the utter waste of my time. If they refuse to foot the bill, I’ll certainly consider taking them to the small claims court. And just for everyone’s info, this nuisance is linked to Fastrack Reclaim, located at Sorbonne Close, Thornaby, Stockton On Tees, TS17 6DA. - caller: 08437240461

It's quite simple to disregard nuisance calls, much like any other bothersome calls. However, I've discovered that if I inadvertently pick up and someone is on the line, their incessant screaming followed by maniacal laughter seems to deter them from calling again. And honestly, I find it rather amusing, or at least I think so...
