I keep getting calls from 08437240461, but whenever I pick up, there's just silence on the other end. Quite perplexing, really!

I've received this number ringing me almost every day this week-it's now up to three times! Clearly, it’s just another pesky cold caller.

On my Android device, I’ve created a contact named "0000- Blocked" for occasions just like this. Each time these numbers ring me up, I immediately link them to that contact, which has the wonderful feature of sending all calls straight to voicemail. Over time, I've compiled a list of about 20 numbers, and it’s definitely cut down on the nuisance of unsolicited calls. I just received another automated message claiming that they have been trying to reach me regarding an important message about my PPI. It seems like I receive about 3 or 4 calls per week from these individuals or similar groups. I consistently add their numbers to my reject list, yet they persist in calling me!

Keep them engaged, make them believe they’re about to earn a massive commission on the fictitious refund from a 70k loan you supposedly took out while self-employed (eligible for a refund, of course). And just before they think they’ve got you locked in, crack up and call them a gullible muppet. Mind you, if it’s a woman on the line, just toy with them instead - women in these jobs seem to have a touch more sense.
