so turns out it’s the benefits number. i only figured it out coz i rang the council first then got put through to benefits. this 08435092445 one costs quite a bit more tho. if you swap the last number to a 4 instead, it’s way cheaper than the other.

I somehow ended up on a 27-minute call with 08435092445 and it showed up as £8.90 on my TalkTalk mobile bill. Tried looking it up but Google was no help, and sites like who-called suggested it’s a telemarketing scam that charges both sides. TalkTalk said they won’t deal with it and I’m stuck with the cost. I’ve now blocked the number to stop any more calls. Feels like I got scammed out of nearly ten quid. Definitely give this number a miss!
