I recently encountered a company claiming to be the "Payment Protection Helpline," stating emphatically that they were both licensed and endorsed by the Government. However, when I inquired about their actual company name, the person on the other end just kept repeating their initial statement. When I pressed for clarification, they abruptly terminated the call. It’s undoubtedly another scam aimed at duping vulnerable individuals out of their rightful PPI refunds. It’s a pity that banks aren't more transparent, as that might prevent organisations like this from swindling anyone in the first place!

I receive a multitude of calls from this number each month. Being self-employed, I have to answer every call that comes through. However, these incessant ringings are from a PPI claims firm, and they never leave a message. It baffles me why Ofcom isn't taking any action to tackle this issue!
