Their aim appears to be getting you to ring that number, which actually turns out to be a 'premium rate' line. Quite crafty, really, as they pocket a percentage of the charges on your phone bill! Just a clever ploy to get you to complain, and it’s so irritating!

I've done that, but whenever I ask to have my number removed from their database, they just hang up! Quite annoying, really.
