I ended up getting charged £30 for a call that didn’t even get picked up! Seems like a total scam to me.

I tried calling the DVLA and ended up waiting on hold for 43 minutes. It set me back about £10, luckily my phone provider put a cap on charges. Of course, no one ever picked up - pretty clear it’s a scam.

I was trying to ring the DVLA about my son and ended up calling this dodgy site with bogus numbers. I had no idea and waited forever on hold, costing me nearly £30 for just one call that never got through. Luckily, while searching for another number, I found this site and then phoned the DVLA directly and also contacted my phone company. It’s a proper scam and DVLA told me they’re trying hard to shut these sites down. Seriously, don’t answer any calls from these numbers or call back!

I called this number thinking it was official to ask about swapping my European driving licence for my UK one. I ended up waiting on hold for about half an hour with no reply. It’s baffling why the DVLA doesn’t make it easier to contact them and warn people about these bogus numbers! I’m pretty annoyed, especially since it was my elderly mum’s phone and now the cost might show on her bill. I tried this number because it popped up when I searched for the DVLA’s contact on Google - they even advertise on the internet. I really wanted to get in touch with them as I’d already tried sorting this out via their website, but with no luck.

This site claims to be run by the Government, but honestly it’s a rip off. I ended the call at about 59 mins 40 secs but the log says I was on the phone for over an hour and 4 mins. WATCH OUT! Just one call to the DVLA set me back almost 9 quid, and to make matters worse, no one ever actually picked up - I was just stuck listening to hold music the whole time.
