8 yearsSome bloke with an Indian accent called claiming he was from BT about my internet acting up. I asked him if his mum was aware that spinning fibs was his day job. He was like, “Why’s that?” I told him BT aren’t the ones handling my Wi-Fi or landline. Then I told him to look up ### and maybe go see the world a bit, before hanging up on him. It’s a scam, pure and simple. They’re just after the elderly and those who might not be able to defend themselves. Absolutely revolting.BT8 yearsThis is definitely one of those dodgy scams.8 yearsThey rang me earlier today but I couldn’t pick up, and since they didn’t leave any voicemail, I went ahead and blocked the number.8 yearsTried calling back but nobody picked up.8 yearsThis guy called saying it was about my internet, but when I asked what for, he just stayed quiet for ages and then suddenly ended the call.8 yearsGot a call from a bloke claiming he was with BT, saying there was an issue with our WiFi coming from the computer that needed sorting. I asked for his phone number and told him I'd ring back later. The number he gave was 1707 331931. Pretty sure it’s a scam.BT8 yearsTried to answer but got no reply, felt like it was dodgy so I just blocked the number.8 yearsAbsolute scammers, stay clear! Just hang up straight away. These crooks are everywhere and it’s ridiculous BT isn’t doing more to stop it. Total thieves, honestly!BT8 yearsGot a call from some bloke claiming to be from Microsoft, saying they wanted to refund me for a computer protection plan supposedly bought last year - which I definitely did not. Ended up just blocking the number.Microsoft10 yearsI forked out the upfront charge, yet here we are, a month later, and still no sign of the loan!11 yearsShortly after we sealed the deal with the company, we received a call from a number that was just like ours. They mentioned that the paperwork had been dispatched and should be with us shortly. Here’s hoping it all arrives without a hitch!12 yearsProvided you've got the funds sorted and these individuals aren't tacking on any hidden fees afterwards, there's truly nothing to fret about.13 yearsHave you considered reaching out to your bank instead of resorting to private lenders?13 yearsGot a annoying call from someone pretending to be Microsoft, they wanted to get into my computer. Total scam, watch out!Microsoft13 yearsPhone rings, you pick up and nothing on the other end. Then you say hello, and suddenly a recorded voice just says goodbye. Clearly they're checking if the number is real so they can pass it along or sell it later.13 yearsToday I got a call from someone saying they were with Microsoft. They wanted me to download Team Viewer so they could get into my computer. I flat out refused, no way I’m letting them in. Then they asked me to open the event viewer, which I did. As soon as I mentioned I didn’t see any errors, the call just dropped. I’m planning to set up a dummy computer and let them try their tricks on that if they call back. I’m curious to see what they’d try to do if given the chance. They never asked for my payment info, but I reckon they would’ve if they’d stayed on the line longer. If it was really Microsoft, they’d already know about the built-in remote access on Windows machines which stays off until you enable it for support. Has anyone else dealt with these people and taken the convo further? Would be great if you could share what happened. Cheers!MicrosoftTeam13 yearsHow quickly did you get the loan after applying?13 yearsAbout 6 months ago, I got a loan from Loan Lenders. They've been alright, the interest rate was decent. But you gotta watch out - if you miss a payment deadline, they hit you with a 75 quid charge. I'm still chipping away at paying it off, but that fee is a bit of a pain.13 yearsBorrowed 5k from these guys recently. The APR was a tad steep for my liking, but they did come through when I was in a pinch. Unlike others, they dont hit you with extra charges, probably because they’re not middlemen. Overall, not bad at all.Submit Your Own Report (0843 005 9606)
