Got a call from Santander fraud team yesterday, was suspicious at first so I rang up my local branch today and spoke to the bank manager to make sure it was genuine.

It's tricky to figure out what's true. If you're not certain, best thing is to call Santander directly using the number on your card and ask them to confirm.

It’s Santander calling. I wouldn’t go pressing 1 and listen to what it says, best not to respond to any automated calls claiming to be your bank. I double checked by ringing the number on the back of my card. Yep, it really was Santander!

Lately ive been having trouble with my Santander payments and got a text asking if the payments were legit. I replied no, and then got a message saying someone would ring me soon, which they did. They even had my account info and told me my last 10 transactions. It turned out to be Santander’s fraud team.

Got a call from someone saying they were "Santander" telling me to ring their fraud team using a 3 digit code. I decided to look up the number here before calling back, and from what I saw, it’s pretty clear it’s a scam. No way I’m returning that call!

This was actually a real number linked to Santander. I didnt ring back but instead contacted Santander via their website and they confirmed it was a scam trying to get into my account. If youre unsure just get in touch with Santander straight away.

Got a call saying it was Santander, didnt pick up but I phoned them back using the number on my card. Turns out someone tried to use my account. They froze my card right away to stop anything else happening.

TOTAL SCAM - IGNORE AND DONT CALL BACK! All Monday and again at 8 this morning, I kept getting calls from this number with some automated voice asking for personal info. I rang Santander to double check and they confirmed it’s a SCAM. They never ask for details like that on the phone.

Totally genuine, there was a failed payment. I got a text with info first, then an automated ring through. Seems fine to me. Confused by the other replies since you only get this call if there’s something dodgy happening with your account. I’d want it looked into, best to be cautious than regret later.

They rang me 7 times within an hour and then sent me a text saying they were from Santander, but it definitely wasn’t them because when Santander messages me, it clearly shows Santander as the sender.
