I keep getting texts telling me to ring some place called c&l, but I’ve got no clue what company that is? There’s so many scams coming from India recently it’s hard to trust anything. On top of that, loads of people have been ringing me today from all sorts of different mobile numbers, none of which seem legit - must be all just scammers and frauds.

This number, 0808 208 4484, keeps calling and texting me, saying it’s about my account. The weird thing is, I don’t know them at all and I’ve never had any account with them. All my credit is up to date, so I’m guessing it’s some kind of debt collection firm trying to reach me.

For quite a few months now, I’ve been plagued by a daily dose of recorded calls from this number, occasionally receiving two in the same day. The message insists that they're attempting to reach me regarding some pressing private issue. Each time I hear it’s C&L on the line, I promptly end the call. However, I’ve now taken the step of firing off an email to them, firmly requesting the removal of my number from their records and to cease any further calls. Here’s hoping it does the trick! Turns out, they’re chasing payments as debt collectors.

I got a recorded call from someone saying they were from C & I and needed to discuss a private issue with me. They asked me to ring them back. I've no clue who they are, and if it was so important, why leave a message instead of just talking to me when I picked up? Seems a bit dodgy.
