These people are total scammers, just looking to snag your info so they can bother you about fake debts they've made up. The best thing to do is just completely ignore them. If you have to, remind them about your rights under the anti-harassment laws, tell them you’ll take legal action and report them to the police if they keep calling - and then follow through on it.

I've just received a call from some company claiming to be LCS, insisting that I owe payment for an energy bill from a location I've never stepped foot in. Seems a bit dodgy, doesn’t it? I suspect it might be one of those Pakistani-owned operations.

I got a text about a British Gas account, telling me to ring them. They didn’t say my name or give any account details, which seems a bit fishy to me. I’m planning to contact British Gas myself to find out if they’re linked to Ices before doing anything else.

Got a text from ICS about an SSE account, but I’ve never even had one with SSE before. Bit confusing and a bit annoying!

a message popped up on my phone telling me to ring Ics at 08082084565 about some thames water stuff. first off, i don’t even have thames water, and i pay my water bills straight from my bank with direct debit. would i bother returning their call? no way!

So yeah, it’s those debt collectors from ICS. No point in calling them back. They specialise in buying outstanding bills from energy companies like gas and electric. If you do ring them, their advanced system picks up your number and then you’ll get nonstop calls from them. Really annoying.

I got random texts from some dodgy debt collector called ICS about bills for a utility account I've never even had. Definitely just ignore and block these lot, they’re up to no good.
