It's quite bizarre, really, as we ended up asking our sister to respond on our behalf; apparently, this person was on the hunt for our former girlfriend. Thankfully, they haven't given us a bell since - fingers crossed it stays that way!

This number rings us every day around four to five in the afternoon. Every time we answer, there's silence on the other end. When we try returning the call, it prompts us to leave our name and number, which we are not inclined to do. Quite frustrating, really!

It seems these folks are implying that you're a Barclaycard holder, while they’re peddling card insurance. I must admit, I'm a bit sceptical about them. They continually request information that we’re not inclined to divulge over the phone. Quite fishy, if you ask me!

This number has been relentlessly calling our mobile throughout the day. Given that we're at work, it's quite difficult for us to pick up. It seems these callers are busy triggering our voicemail without bothering to leave any message. What’s absolutely maddening is that while there's just silence on our voicemail, suddenly our phone starts buzzing with three more calls. Shortly after, we receive a text notifying us of the voicemail we've just missed. It’s all so frustrating! I'm now keeping our phone close by, hoping to finally pick up and set them straight.

No, it’s been ringing at least three times a day for the last week on our landline, which directly goes to the answerphone. The one occasion we actually answered, it turned out to be a male Asian caller conducting some sort of market survey. It’s puzzling how they even got hold of our number, especially since I’ve only just made the switch. It’s all rather annoying! Is there any way to put a stop to this nonsense?

We answered the phone thinking it might be for someone else, only to have them inquire, “Are we speaking to Mr. ********?” It turns out it was the former partner of my wife from over two decades ago! How infuriating! We definitely didn’t respond in a friendly manner!

We've had a string of missed calls on our home phone from this number for ages. To be honest, we never pick up unless it’s a familiar face on the display. Last night, however, they dialled our mobile, but we weren’t inclined to answer an unknown number there either. It does beg the question, how on earth do these folks acquire our digits? It’s rather peculiar, you know! We had our SIS respond to this, and it’s as if someone’s inquiring about our former partners, as though they’re hoping to keep them away from the malevolent gaze of envy. Quite bizarre, if you ask me!

It seems that this scam has resurfaced since 2009, as I've received seven missed calls from this number in just a few days. They frequently call during office hours and never leave a voicemail, which is rather irritating. I'm really keen to find a method to put a stop to their incessant calls. I've no intention of squandering my time trying to communicate with them, especially after reading all the cautionary tales shared here. Cheers for the heads-up, everyone!

This number has been ringing non-stop since this morning-it's been absolutely relentless! We usually don’t pick up calls from numbers we don’t recognise, but their incessant ringing is really getting on our nerves. I’m tempted to answer just to give them a piece of my mind!

This number has been non-stop ringing our mobile throughout the day. Since we’re at the office, we hardly get the chance to pick up. These callers seem to be triggering our voicemail but never bother to leave a proper message. To top it all off, after a silent recording plays on our voicemail, our phone rings another three times in quick succession, only for us to receive a text saying we have a voicemail. It’s absolutely maddening! I’ve taken to keeping my phone close at hand now so that we can finally answer and set them straight.

We generally don’t bother responding to unknown numbers. Our view is that if something’s important, they’ll leave a message. So far, I've only received one call that's been too quiet to discern anything. Is there any method to get this number blocked?

We answered the call, only to have someone ask if we were MR * ?? Our wife's former partner from over 23 years ago. We didn’t engage with him as politely as we perhaps should have.
