Total scam alert. Got a call from a man who sounded Indian, asked for my info and then attempted to hack into my O2 account. They changed stuff and even ordered a phone to some random address. Don’t pick up this number, just block or report it. This number links to others like 01692 355006, 01515285481 and +08080020202, all involved in dodgy scams.

He said he was calling from O2 offering a 30% discount. I asked him what my current bill was (instantly knew it was a scam) and he replied that if I gave him the code they sent, he could tell me! I kept pressing him and he got annoyed. I pointed out he wasn’t very patient for someone who supposedly ‘works for O2’. Funny enough, the text with the code warned me ‘don’t share this code with anyone, not even O2 staff’, so it’s clear O2 are aware of this scam and are trying to warn customers alongside the message.

Like others have mentioned, the caller had quite a thick accent which made it really tricky to catch what she was saying. She insisted that I'd been chosen for some sort of O2 promotion. I informed her that she really oughtn't to be calling me since I’m registered with "The Protection Service," which sounds far more legitimate than the usual TPS, the Telephone Preference Service! After a brief moment of silence, she said, "Oh, right… wish you a pleasant day." Honestly, I’ve dealt with much more aggressive scam artists when they figure out you’re not interested.

Got a call from this number saying they were from O2 and that I’d won an Apple Watch in some random draw. Turns out these scammers got access to my O2 account, placed an order for an iPhone 13 Pro and even switched my plan without my consent. Sounds like an O2 number calling, but it's just another spam cold call. They claimed to be collaborating with other networks to get better deals for customers, but I’ve got my doubts since UK law forbids sharing phone numbers like that under the Data Protection Act 1998.
