Hello there! I recently received a call from this number, purporting to be from Vodafone's business support team, wanting to discuss my account. When I inquired if they would be sending me a PIN, as I'd experienced in the past, the caller informed me that their security measures had changed. Apparently, instead of a PIN, they now required me to provide my birth date while they disclosed the year. Additionally, they requested my memorable word. Naturally, I decided to look up the number online and stumbled upon this site. Upon reading that this number was most likely a scam, I promptly hung up.

Said they were from Vodafone, maybe they were but why on earth do they ask for your full name, address, date of birth and then text you asking for a code? Didn’t give it to them as it was a random cold call and I’m not about to share any code sent to me. The Data Protection Act just makes things worse, all your info - name, address, postcode, DoB, even your granny’s cat’s name and whatnot - is stored all over the place these days.

Just wanted to share my experience-I've had three missed calls from 0808 000 0155, the first one dating back to 31st January 2020. Today, they rang again, and this time I decided to answer. There was a bit of chatter in the background, but the moment I greeted them, the call abruptly ended. It’s a bit unsettling, isn't it? I'm starting to suspect this might be one of those dubious scams or a phishing attempt. Where on earth did they get my number from?
