Got a call from 0808 000 0122 today. The person had a foreign accent and claimed to be from Vodafone. They asked me for my PIN but I said no. Then they said they’d send me a text with an access code to prove it was Vodafone. I told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call. They didn’t try to pressure me or anything. This aint really Vodafone, watch out. Tell them to get in touch using the email linked to your account to prove they're legit and they prob wont be able to do it. Sure, they can send a text saying it's Vodafone but they've already got your number, so it's kinda easy for them. Don't let them trick you!

Someone rang saying they were from Vodafone and said they’d text me to verify. But I’ve been caught out by similar calls before, so I was hesitant to give any of my info. When I told her that, she was really understanding and polite about it.

This person said they were from Vodafone and said I was eligible for a better plan. They asked for my surname and then wanted the first and last digits of my PIN. I said I couldn’t remember. Then they said it was okay, I could give my postcode and address for security. I told them since they called me, they should already have that info. They didn’t seem happy about that, so I ended the call. Felt really dodgy to me.

I rang Vodafone and they said these calls are on a premium rate. Best not to pick up. Vodafone helped me block all those premium numbers now. So anyone calling saying they're from Vodafone is probably a scammer.

Voice sounded Indian, but the signal is awful here, this is the third time they've called, only managed to pick up the first one. Kept rambling about some bill adjustments but I told him I couldn't hear properly and said he should call the landline instead. I got two calls from 08080000122 within half an hour. Different blokes answered each time and said they were from Vodafone. They asked for my surname and a couple of digits from my 4-digit PIN as a security check. I gave the first two digits during the first call, but when the second guy asked for the last two digits, I didn’t feel right about it and hung up. Seems pretty dodgy to me.

Every time I drop a text to a family member, I get a missed call from this number in return, but it's bizarre because my phone doesn’t even make a sound! How odd is that?

This number belongs to Vodafone's sales department. As far as I can tell, they reach out to offer extra data packages once you've nearly used up your allowance. Although the sales call is a bit dodgy and not very professional, it’s definitely not a scam. So if you did share any details, it would just be with Vodafone. To get these calls to stop, you could register with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) online, and if they keep ringing, report it to TPS - usually that sorts it out.

They keep ringing me like 5 or 6 times a day, every single day. I just ignore it coz I don’t wanna chat with strangers. If I don’t recognise the number, I’m not answering simple. It’s totally unwanted and super frustrating! To those saying it’s Vodafone offering free phones and loads of data, don’t be daft - why would a company that charges a fortune do that for free? If you’ve already given them your info, think twice next time coz it’s probably a scam, and make sure you change your details. Honestly, it’s so stupid to hand out your personal stuff nowadays!! 🤯

I received a call from someone claiming to represent Vodafone, and they even knew my first name, which raised my suspicions. They then asked for my surname, but I outright declined, pointing out that if they truly worked for Vodafone, they ought to be able to answer a security question regarding my surname. The caller started rambling on about data protection, which I found utterly ludicrous. He subsequently sent a text to my phone, but I mentioned that anyone can easily spoof that kind of message. I firmly stated that without knowing my surname, I wouldn't be disclosing any personal information to random callers. I suggested that if he actually needed to reach me, he should do so through my Vodafone account email. He abruptly ended the call, confirming my suspicions that it was a scam.

Got a call from this number, with someone speaking in an Indian accent. They knew my first name but asked for my last name. I said no way and told them if they were really from Vodafone, they’d already have my surname. Then they started rambling about data protection - total rubbish. Then I phoned Vodafone using 191 from my phone, and they said nobody had contacted me that day. Total scam. Never share your info with these calls.
