I keep getting loads of silent calls, and they hang up just as soon as the voicemail kicks in. Surely this isn’t allowed? Honestly, these folks (the AA) ought to be stopped from doing this.

Absolute pain in the neck!

From what I found on other sites, this seems to be AA's marketing calling. They phone so much that it goes to voicemail and then just hangs up without leaving anything. Happens like two or three times each week on average.

Honestly, the AA is rubbish. Instead of taking care of people who stick with them, they just try to squeeze every penny out of you. Total rip-off with their sneaky auto-renewals. Make sure you cancel or you’ll get stung big time. AA, get your act together and treat customers properly!

Should this be the AA, I've previously informed them that I'm not keen, due to their dubious tactics regarding renewals.

No voicemail was left. I'm going to go ahead and block this number. Honestly, I wish I could just "block" the person responsible for this call altogether. So frustrating! Ugh!

Got a call from the AA regarding a check on my account. They were really polite, no pressure or anything shady. Just a straightforward chat, nothing bothersome.

Today, I had a single call from this number. It matched the typical pattern - hardly any rings, and when I picked up, there was nothing but silence. I expect they'll try again, but after looking it up here, I've decided to just ignore it moving forward. I see no reason to waste my time or cash on these bothersome interruptions.

Got a call from the AA the other day, they just ring up and drop the call, bit annoying. Had to ditch them last year after they sneaked into my account and nicked a load to renew my policy without asking. No way I’d let that happen again. Switched over to RAC now - they said no auto renewals and it’s way cheaper too!

On the 1st of December 2017, just after 1pm, I got yet another call from 08009752417. This has been happening off and on for over a year now. The phone rings a couple of times and then the call just ends. Honestly, it's incredibly frustrating. I wonder who at the AA thought it was a good idea to promote their services like this. Seems like a proper own goal to me. They’ve probably lost plenty of customers over time because of this nonsense. Maybe Simon Breakwell, the AA’s CEO, needs to get bombarded with some of these annoying calls or emails to truly get how irritating it is.

AA insurance rang but didn’t even bother to leave a voicemail, classic stuff.

My phone flagged the number as spam, so after getting annoyed with the constant calls, I just ended up blocking it haha.

I began an insurance quote on their website but didn’t finish it because I wanted to dodge any phone calls. Just before the end, it said if I sent the request, they'd ring me to talk things through. So I didn’t submit anything. Yet, annoyingly, they phoned anyway! Feels like they’ve got my info without me agreeing to their terms, even though I never properly applied. Really hope the new data protection rules sort this kind of thing out soon!

I asked AA to take my details off their list ages ago, they said it could take a couple weeks, but it’s been like 3 years now and I’m still getting calls and letters non-stop. Honestly, I can’t stand AA. Don’t ever sign up with them, cause you’ll just be bombarded with messages and calls forever!

I got a call from this number and picked up, only to find it was supposedly the AA checking in about my membership. Shortly after that, I began noticing suspicious activity in several of my accounts, my email, and whatnot, all traced back to an unfamiliar device in Jamaica. Definitely not to be trusted!

So this lot said if I was the guest of honour at their AA bukaki bash, I’d bag a whole year of free insurance. Naturally, I asked them to send over the address straight away. Fast forward to after attending that bukaki party, and guess what? No insurance in sight!

I chose not to pick up, but it does add up that it was the AA since my mum mentioned they’d ring back regarding insurance, so it was a genuine call. On a side note, maybe who-called[###][###] should sort out those rude word filters, it's like everything gets through in the comments!

They call me nearly twice every day just to hang up straight away. I keep hoping it’s about winning some lottery money, but of course it’s not. I don’t get why they bother ringing me anyway... I don’t even drink tea! 😤

My landline got a call from 0800 975 2417. I answered pretty quickly, like on the fourth ring, but there was no sound or anyone on the end. Really odd.

Is it really necessary to tolerate such terrible language like I saw in the comment from 26/09/2017? I use this website quite often and normally find it very helpful, but I’m shocked that Who Calls Me would permit those kind of nasty remarks. This site can be accessed by kids, so letting stuff like that slide is completely out of order. Absolutely disgusted.

Ugh, AA keeps calling my phone and I can't stand it. I'll never use their service again. They couldn't figure out what was wrong even with their pricey gear. Funny thing, I ended up spotting the problem myself with some cheap £1.99 OBD2 reader from China! Honestly, don't bother wasting your cash on them - they don't fix a thing!

It's quite baffling that the AA still thinks it's a clever use of resources to ring up former customers. It's no surprise that their service rates just can't compete in today's market. They seem stuck in a bygone era, clinging to the idea that their loyal clients will stick around indefinitely. If they carry on down this path, they'll soon find themselves without any customers at all.

I pretty much just stick to texting on my mobile. Yesterday morning, the first call came through but ended before I could even get to it. Then tonight, the same thing happened - I thought it was just a dial tone, so didn’t pick up. The signal’s rubbish around here, so the sound quality’s awful, which is why I prefer to use my landline instead.

It's quite frustrating, isn't it? This number incessantly rings at various hours, and to make it worse, they hang up just before I pick up. We've previously made it clear that we won't be using their services again, especially after they hiked our subscription fees to nearly four times what we were paying, all despite the fact that we've never once needed to contact them for help. Quite a bizarre situation, really!

I've been getting persistent calls from that number. I spent over three decades in the AA, but I eventually grew tired of their annual price hikes. Each year, as a direct debit payer, I found myself having to call them up and threaten to part ways. The last time I spoke with them, I made it clear that if they attempted another increase, I'd simply cancel my membership. This past year, they went ahead and tried to collect the inflated fee without even giving me a heads-up. So just a word of warning to everyone!

I recently rang up the AA to terminate my policy and made it crystal clear that I wouldn't be renewing due to their exorbitant charges for what is really quite a basic service, especially when compared to a major rival. I had a conversation with a genuine human being, and to be honest, I wasn't thrilled about the significant increase in subscription fees after just the initial couple of years. I even requested them to note in my file my intention not to renew. A single email and maybe a couple of calls would seem quite fair, yet they continue to ring me daily, hence my reason for checking this unknown number here. I suppose I’ll have to get back on the line with them, won’t I?

It’s all a bit bonkers, isn’t it? What’s the logic behind the AA thinking that people who’ve had missed calls with no messages are then supposed to ring an 0800 number just to scrub themselves from a list they ought not to be on in the first place? Absolutely shoddy service if you ask me, and judging by the feedback here, it seems they’re losing quite a few customers due to this nonsense.

In my initial year, I forked out about £75 for the breakdown cover from the AA. However, when the renewal came up the next year, they were asking for a staggering £350! Naturally, I told them in no uncertain terms where to stick that offer. I've made it crystal clear that I'm not keen on rejoining the AA, yet they persist with their incessant phone calls. It makes me wonder if they've got an army of telemarketers to keep on the payroll, which might explain why their prices are through the roof!

Indeed, I just received a call from them. They’re now on my blocked list! If that’s the AA, then I must say, I’m quite disappointed in your organisation. I’ve heard whispers that you’ve been sold to American interests, and honestly, it’s no surprise that you’ve adopted such tactics. Though I am a member, that certainly doesn’t grant you the authority to ring me up at home, does it? If communication is absolutely necessary, then please opt for the good old postal service instead. I can easily pop that straight into the recycling without a second thought! And while we're at it, could you kindly share a Director’s personal number with me? It would be a treat to call them without any prior arrangement, wouldn’t it? To put it plainly, just stop this nonsense or risk losing loyal customers like myself, especially after three decades!
