Seems like the AA might have had a data leak which is pretty worrying, and now I’m not planning to renew with them. Have never had this kinda thing happen with other insurance companies before. If they ring me on that same number like they said, I’m not picking up - but if I do, I’ll make it clear I know it’s a scam, no messing about!

This number has rung me about 35 times in the past week. I’m registered with the TPS and I’ve never signed up with the AA. I’ve reported it to TPS and blocked the caller.

This number has called me a few times, then I got a text saying it was the AA wanting to talk about renewing my membership. But when I tried calling back, it said the number was wrong. I also received an email from the AA with a totally different phone number.

Got a text and call about my AA renewal, they even included my membership number which made me think it’s legit. But I’ve told them loads of times to stop messaging and ringing me, so it’s just annoying now and surely breaks their privacy rules and maybe the law too. Anyway, they’re blocked from now on.

I've been receiving incessant calls from this number, occurring from the crack of dawn until well into the evening, at least a couple of times daily for the past three weeks. They never bother to leave a message on the voicemail. It's remarkably irritating and feels quite intrusive!

I’ve had this number ringing me about 8 times over the past few days. I always ignore calls from unknown numbers, so I didn’t pick up. But I did try calling back with 141 hidden and got a recorded message saying “The number you dialled isn’t recognised.” Feels like a proper SCAM to me.

Got a call just before 7 in the evening but it didn’t interact with our Call Guardian thingy. If it really was the AA like some folks say, I can’t imagine why they’d ring at this time - most likely just a hassle or some kind of scam.

Got called again for the second time this week from someone claiming to be the AA. Got a bit annoyed with them about the renewal as we always wait till it’s actually due before paying. Plus, the AA phone numbers I know never begin with 0800 like this one did. Makes you wonder - how exactly do they know when my membership’s up for renewal? Has there been a leak somewhere at the AA?

Someone said they were with the AA and rang me. I called the AA to check and they said no one had called from their side, plus the person I spoke to was the only one handling memberships that day. Tried ringing the number back but it wouldn’t go through. Best block this number, it’s definitely not the AA.
