some guy with an asian accent rang me, saying he was from the citizens advice bureau and could help sort out my unsecured debts. bit strange, cause i don’t have any debts at all. i told him i didn’t think he was legit and just ended the call straight away, then blocked the number.

Got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming to be from Citizen Advice, saying my debt was cleared. I didn’t even realise I had any debts, so I asked him what he meant. He got really rude when I questioned how some debt that doesn’t even exist could be wiped out. Ended up hanging up on him.

Had a similar thing happen like others have mentioned. I asked if my mortgage, which is about £400k, could be part of the "iva". Then they shuffled me off to someone calling themselves a manager, who just rudely told me to f##k off! Proper cheeky, that was.

My husband got a call from an Asian guy claiming to be from some kind of fraud department. When my hubby asked which company he was with, the caller just shouted insults at him nonstop. So, my husband told him off in return and then the bloke just went silent and hung up!

I got a call from a guy with an African accent claiming the Citizens Advice Bureau found out that the government might cancel 70% of my debts. I kept asking why the CAB would be the ones calling me about this since it doesn’t seem like their role. He got a bit annoyed and offered to put me through to another person. After about 5 minutes of him going in circles and not answering my question properly, I just ended the call.

Some bloke with an asian accent claiming to be from the citizens advice bureau’s investigation team called me up saying I owed them money. He wanted me to hand over my bank details, which I foolishly did at first - big mistake. I told him off pretty firmly (just not exactly in polite words). When I tried ringing him back, the number didn’t even exist. No shock there! Proper dodgy geezer, that one!

Cheers to everyone who shared info about this number. It rang me today but I didn’t pick up since usually just my mum or some cold callers call my landline. I’d actually been on the phone with my mum just five minutes earlier, so I figured I was right to ignore it.

I received a call from that number earlier, and I reckon it was some bloke with an Indian accent inquiring about money I supposedly owe. He then had the cheek to ask me for a favour and told me to shove off before hanging up. How outrageous!

Some bloke from Asia rang me, claiming he could shut down my computer. What a load of rubbish he was talking! I messsed about with him for a good five minutes. Then when I told him I'd phone the cops, he just hung up quick as anything. What a daft muppet!

An Asian bloke rang up my elderly grandparents pretending to be from Microsoft, saying their computer was infected with a virus. When I told him there isn't even a computer at their place, he called me a liar. I tried explaining that if he was truly from Microsoft, he wouldn’t speak to folks so rudely, but then he started getting really aggressive. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

I missed the call because I was attending to a customer at the time. When I tried to return the call using my landline, which is free for 0800 numbers, I was greeted with a dead tone and a message saying the number couldn't be recognised. After doing some research here, I'm really relieved I didn't answer originally. I'm going to block this number immediately. Cheers for the heads-up!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who said his name was Gary. He claimed my IP address had been hacked and warned that my licence might get revoked because of fake emails going out asking for cash. He insisted he was with some "computer licensing department" at Microsoft and even gave me an 8-digit reference number before telling me to log in. I told him I wasn’t around my computer then, and he said he’d ring me back later. I just needed a bit of time to check it out since it all sounded a bit sketchy to me.

I received a rather alarming call from an Asian gentleman who introduced himself as John Smith, claiming to represent Windows. He mentioned that someone was pretending to be me and was inquiring about funds due to my supposed bankruptcy. I must admit, I’m rather concerned that he had my pay-as-you-go mobile number, along with my name and email address. It certainly leaves one feeling uneasy!
