I just received a call from this number claiming to be from O2, offering unlimited calls and texts plus 2GB of data for £13 a month. I asked if it was a contract or pay-as-you-go deal since I’m PAYG, and they said contract. When I said I don’t have a credit card, he asked if anyone else in the house had one. I said no, then he said thanks and hung up instantly! The guy said his name was Alan.

I recently received a phone call from a particular number claiming to be O2. The caller offered me an enticing deal of unlimited calls and texts, along with 2GB of data for just £13 per month. Naturally, being a pay-as-you-go customer, I inquired if this offer applied to my billing model. However, the caller mentioned that it was for contract users. When I mentioned that I didn't have a credit card, they swiftly asked whether anyone else living with me had one. When I responded negatively, they promptly thanked me and ended the call.

0800 952 4875 rang me, but like usual, I don't pick up these as they probably share your number around if you do. From what I can tell, it's an O2 scam. They've tried calling me before, and when I said, "Hang on, you’re asking for my bank details?" she just hung up quick once she twigged I wasn’t having it! Seriously, if they don’t leave a message, just block the number and save yourself the hassle.

I'm tired of receiving calls from this number that hang up as soon as I answer. I won't be picking up their calls again.

I received two phone calls requesting me to upgrade my O2 pay as you go SIM card. They were offering unlimited calls, texts, and GBs per month. I provided them with a lot of personal information. However, things took a suspicious turn when they asked for the long number on my debit card. I immediately refused and disconnected the call. To clear my doubts, I contacted O2 customer care who presented me with a slightly more expensive deal. O2 mentioned that the previous callers could potentially be from their rewards department but couldn't confirm it. Therefore, I am still unsure about their authenticity.

Got a call from this number saying they were from o2 and could upgrade my plan. I wasn’t too sure if they were legit, so I asked for their full address. They gave me one, but it was somewhere unfamiliar to me. So, I looked up the IP linked to that address and gave it a good DDoS for some time. Bet they won’t be ringing me back anytime soon.

I constantly receive phone calls from a particular number. I have searched online to find out who it belongs to and discovered that it is suspected of impersonating 02. There was one instance where I actually answered the call, only to be told that it was indeed 02 calling from that number. However, I knew this was not the case. Therefore, I no longer answer these calls, yet they persistently keep calling me. Over the past two weeks, I have received a total of six such calls. It's worth noting that my phone network provider is 02, so it appears they are specifically targeting customers of their network.

Just got a call on my 02 phone and decided to check the number here after reading the comments. Seems like it’s one of those scams where someone pretends to be 02, trying to trick you into sharing your bank details. I only gave my number to an Amazon site 5 days ago for a Hermes delivery text. I’ve never really handed out my number before, so this is a bit suspicious. Has my number been sold or shared around? I usually ignore unknown callers anyway, only pick up from people I know. What a mess this is!
