I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, didn’t pick up and I didn’t leave a voicemail either. From my point of view, they’re not worth my time and seem to just enjoy messing about with people.

Not sure what it was but the call came to my number which I’m the only one using, so could be a genuine O2 call or just another scammer giving it a go. After checking some other comments about this number, I’m leaning towards it being a scam.

I usually don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t know, and this one sounded like it was coming from a call centre. Not really bothered about what they had to offer, so I’ve just blocked the number now.

I've been getting loads of calls from them, like multiple times a day, and I never pick up. Today they actually left a voicemail, just some guy breathing, mumbling, and chuckling. Definitely not worth answering, in my opinion.

Said they where from o2 but had no idea I been with them ages, kept ringin me a few more times after, I ignored it, seemed kinda dodgy to me.

They called me a couple of times today. After seeing all the reviews, I took a chance and picked up. They asked for my grandad since the phone is registered in his name. When I told them it wasn’t his phone, they said they’d try his number, even though he’s not with 02. Bit odd if you ask me.

This number called me about half a dozen times today. I picked up four of them but they just hung up once I said hello. Two of the calls said they were from O2 and claimed I'd gone over my data limit, which is odd cause I pay for unlimited data. Another call said I'd been in a crash with a Honda Civic, which is weird because I've never even had one of those cars!

Saw I had a missed call from this number but no message was left.

They said the call was comin from an 02 number. They actually knew my name and some stuff about my contract. In the end, they didnt try to sell me anything since I told em I didn’t want extra minutes. Kinda felt odd and a bit worrying.

Got loads of calls while I was trying to do my school tests today.

Got a call from a woman who had all my phone contract info and was trying to sell me an iPad deal. I said sure, send it over, then she wants my bank card details. I told her just take it from my direct debit like the usual bills. She said they don’t keep that info, so I asked how do they manage monthly payments then? She said she’d ring me back at the same time tomorrow, so I’m thinking I’ll just hang out in an O2 shop until she calls again, see if it’s legit or just a scam.

I received a call from what turned out to be some chap claiming to represent O2, so I figured I'd pick up. He proceeded to inquire about my phone provider, which struck me as rather peculiar since I assumed he already had that detail. When I responded with "O2," I made sure to withhold any personal details. Strangely enough, he seemed to know that both I and my partner were using Galaxy S5s on a contract, along with the duration of our agreements and the specifics of the shop where we had signed up. His purpose was merely to inform me of potential upgrade offers. I politely declined, saying "no thank you." He was quite courteous about it, responding with “no problem at all; for further details, feel free to visit the O2 website. Have a lovely day,” which was rather nice of him. Although he didn’t give off a particularly dodgy vibe, it’s interesting how many folks nowadays are quick to assume something fishy is going on. It’s common knowledge that companies often trade mobile numbers among themselves. I genuinely believe he was calling from an O2-associated firm. Even though his initial question about my provider left me puzzled (as he should’ve already been aware), I didn’t need to divulge any number, yet he was able to share details only O2 would possess.

This definitely isn't O2, just block the number - the caller is clearly a fraudster.

So far, no calls from them, but I've switched my bank account and updated all my online passwords just in case. Might even think about moving and changing my name as well.

Nearly all these calls are from cold callers wanting to sell something or scam you. According to data privacy laws, they’re supposed to verify your info first before asking for passwords, not the other way around. If they get any details wrong, just end the call straight away. And if you didn’t request the call, it’s best not to pick up at all and block the number to be safe.

Got two calls from o2 sales in the same day.

They just rang me up, said they were from O2 and asked to speak to Dawn. I told them if they were really from O2, they’d know she’s not on the contract anymore. I’ve been the account holder for over three months now. They just said sorry and then hung up. Doesn’t sound legit to me.

Someone said they were from o2 but there’s no way that’s true. I wouldn’t blame o2 for this at all, even though some people say they’ll switch providers if it happens again. Honestly, it’ll happen no matter who you’re with since phone contracts are easy to find out, and companies can check who supplies your phone, internet, or even your energy. Just block the number and be done with it.

This defo ain’t O2 themselves. It’s just some marketing lot tryin to blag your info and push dodgy ‘offers’ on you. Don’t waste your time picking up. They just wanna nick your details to hassle you down the line. If you need O2, ring them straight, not this lot.

Got a call from this number today, they said some quick, mumbley stuff in an Asian accent then just ended the call. I've gone ahead and blocked it now.

Got a weird voicemail from this number, sounds like someone was practising a script and rang me by mistake! He kept saying stuff like 'offer SIM only deals but don’t bring up cancellation unless they ask, then just say yeah no problem and move on, only if they ask though'. I’d steer clear of answering if I were you!!
